Seems impossible to purchase On Steam! "Your purchase has not been completed. Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company. Note that in some cases, your credit card company may put a 'hold' on funds in your account, but you will not be charged. After correcting any errors in the information displayed below, please try your purchase again." I contacted my bank. Everything is ok on my side!! Since then I've tried to contact Steam, but they ask me for verification codes that never arrive in my email or on the phone. What the...! Am I alone with this joke? Richard.
Is your card linked to Paypal? If you are UK based it could be that you need to provide them with information and they will block all traffic in and out of your account until you give them what they request. Look to see if they have sent you a email (It's not a scam) Other than that it means checking the 'errors in the information below' as Steam have said.
My card is not linked to Paypal. About a mail my old adress is no longer the right one. But when I want to change it they say they don't recognise my account, even though I'm logged in and they have a list of all the addons I've bought from them! It's like a madhouse, going round in circles! ;-) And my bank says it's from them, probably for security reasons. I'm from France.
Yes I know, there is an option to change the address mail and they ask for purchase proof. So, I give what they ask about my VISA card but they do not recognize it!!! My last purchase with it was 03/14/2025!
Solved! Steam changed my e-mail address as I had requested. As for my Visa card, I deleted it from the site and re-entered it. I can't edit the title of my post to say it's resolved. Please if a mod can do it, thanks! Richard.
