Hence why we follow who we find interesting or pin threads that are interesting.
But I don’t like the tone here and it’s late for me.

We are 3 guys coming together as community members and as friends. If that doesn’t interest anyone then fine. Don’t comment.
Yet if anyone is interested in Rail 200 then there is a thread for user to follow. Away from personal discussions between community members and friends.

Friends that support each other not pull each other apart.
And as I say I am not happy about the tone or direction of topic.

Hence I will not bite. I don’t need it, and nor will anyone else like my bite.

So be nice. You or anyone else don’t want to make me feel uncomfortable because I will just disappear and those responsible for getting me in a state that is not healthy will have a lot to answer for.

I am here to be kind and supportive not get in to stupid arguments.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to come across as condescending. You have a monumental task when it comes to creating this and are handling it really well; I just want to help in any way I can. I did not mean to pull any friends apart, nor did I mean to set a negative tone. I'm sorry that it came across that way but I did really mean for it to be friendly.

Could you please point to the post in question please? I'm assuming you were referring to my post about the 177 posts but I'm not sure. My rather smooth brain struggles without very explicit callouts and I want to improve myself in this regard.

Honestly, you were upset by something (probably for a valid reason) and did the right thing by waiting to calm down before reviewing the situation. Most people tend to send situations like this into a shouting match until a moderator locks down a thread. You have my utmost respect for being mature enough to walk away when you needed to.

Please don't feel bad; we're all still friends and no harm was done.

Oh thank you I was worrying so much about this, and you have nothing to apologise for. It’s just banter from your end.
And believe it or not I’m up for banter any time, except that night. Which I wont go into as like you say it’s like we’re taking over TG08 thread and now adding to 177 pages of content. I wish I could link the comment if that would help you but I don’t know how unfortunately.

I’m no whizz my self on what is what, and why I am delayed so much. I’m all over the place.

And so I may have got off to a bad start and he’s me going on about my role as PR lol. I’ll sack myself with immediate effect

But I’m all cool as I say I’m not one for any kinds of confrontational situations.

So if you want to move away from not getting bogged down with who said what
I’m cool if you are.

Plus I am sure you have better things to be doing than getting involved with me when having a sudden wobble.
That’s my issue to deal with and any consequences that may result. You did nothing wrong thus have no blame on you to worry.
It was my fault and take full responsibility for the situation you suddenly found yourself in.

Thank you. I was just about in control, and why I close down early. I was up late and had a long day.
It’s no excuse but I am responding to this as you praised me for walking away.

It was a learning curve for me, personal stuff. And a coping mechanism. I have to walk away.
This is why I mentioned about waking away and not returning. If I feel there will be conflict then I will close off and walk away.

I believe the world is full of stupid arguments and so why add to them.
A massive goal and dream of mine is to make the world a better place not an ugly one.
For others because if the world is a better place then maybe I will walk in the sun one day.

Until then I will try all I can when I’m not adding to the ugliness of this world.

A bit of backstory before this one:

*This scenario is a trial scenario of sorts, and the purpose is to determine whether you all like scenarios where you have to change ends at least once.*


THE SCENARIO:

Scenario Storyline: Amtrak are running a free shuttle service for the public from Boston South to Southampton Street Yard, where they can learn facts about the fleet and the history behind the yard being there.

Really happy to have new scenarios on the NEC. Thank you, I’m very excited for it to become available. Haha... indeed very funny! Especially since there’s no power loss on the locomotive with its headlights on.

 

Great work as usual but where is my F59HPR in the Union Pacific livery or the Up Railroad experience lol.
I need the passenger cars first tho

Would a tour or a US rail experience on different US routes be of value?. A Passenger experience say on Cain Creek.
I’d make it myself but I can’t do scenarios as you know and why your part of R200 Projects

So yes as a community member I’d like to see that if you could make it happen.
Especially if you are focusing on routes like you are currently.

I mean I see one member already appraising the theme of the scenario so is US routes a way forward for future scenarios.

I do not have those respective DLCs, and don't plan on getting them in the near future (if at all). To be completely honest with you, I have my own schedule already, so I already have plans for upcoming content in the coming months (i.e. the rest of the year) . (not trying to sound rude at all).

You see, I do a whole variety of routes and countries, so themes i.e. just US routes, wouldn't appraise my fanbase at all. I'm happy with having a good mix of content from a whole host of different routes and the countries that they represent. That's why I do a Creators Club Roadmap at the end of the day .

Yeah, I don’t own as much US content compared to other countries. Still, it would've been a great idea regardless .

No need to apologise, it's just how the situation has played out on this occasion. However, getting WCML OS means you can play 1Z01 (when it releases) .

No no I get that, I don’t own many EU routes and why I’m am working with speedfreak. I bought WCML line for the scenario and I have to thank you for sticking with it. I will try clear the air a little better soon. But again I bought that route because I like it and more familiar with UK routes than EU. So when I seen you doing some recent US scenarios I thought doing a UP overland route excursion would be nice seeing we have part of the old routes with Antelope route. I gave up on reading up on it more.

So again was seeing if it was something different or a route pardon the bun you could consider if you are doing a mixture or different themes for Rail Fans. No harm in asking your fans is there if they would like to see that. I am sure I can get the passenger cars made.
Or again a way to be more engaging with your fans if you wanted to get someone else on board to do the stock to go with my F59.

As a say tho it was just an idea or something to possibly consider. Yet if your hands are busy with the R200 project then again I fully understand.

I’ll be making formations soon so if I do make them can other users be able to use for their own scenarios?. And what does tuning the Ai do for the end user. Is leaving it on better or off?. I know what it does on my end but not sure of the implications for the end user experience.
Could you advise me on my question please?.

You would have to upload the formation onto CC in order for other users to use the formation in their own scenarios.

In regards to turning AI usage on and off, I guess you are referring to liveries? If you turn AI usage off (Inactive) like I do, it'll mean it wouldn't spawn on any AI trains, which would improve performance in general (especially on routes like WCML South and Kinzigtalbahn). However, the opposite effect happens if you leave the AI usage on (Active).

Yes this really helps as I know some of my liveries have 9000 decals. This will slow the system down, freezing or have missing cars etc.
So I have now (Edit) started to turn the Ai to off, inactive for my own sake and now others.

I just wanted to clarify that so yes bang on mate cheers for that.

I have made the sixth (and final ever) 'Railfan' scenario but the reveal will come in the CC Roadmap next week.

Here's some clues as to where it is:

- It is in the state of New Jersey,
- Amtrak stop here,
- The city shares it's name with a town in England on the ECML,
- It shares something similar in it's name to New York's main station.

TIP: Consider all of the clues before making a guess!

Guess away folks! I imagine you will get it pretty quickly but will you be correct or not? All will be revealed in the CC Roadmap...

It's been a pleasure to make these 'Railfan' scenarios throughout 2025. Unfortunately they weren't as well received as I'd hoped for, but you have to put up with it regardless of the outcome. So thank you to every single one of you who have either downloaded them from CC, or got involved with the guessing game of where the location is .

Yet I know you didn’t like discussing to much openly so again I will try get us together again.
I’m a little worried for MM too.

Yet before I go I will ask you these questions. What do you think was the issue or issues that have resulted in this becoming such a problem you have taken the decision to end them. And or It’s something in your control that could be changed or not? For what ever the case maybe, it’s a shame Railfan is ending as you did work hard on them. Sad news I guess.

*For everyone: The below answers are me being transparent about the idea of the Railfan scenarios, and how I feel about them. It may sound negative, but it's me being completely/utterly honest.* (just a quick warning)

What do you think was the issue (or issues) that have resulted in this becoming such a problem that you have taken the decision to end them?

There could be multiple factors in this case. However, the one that has fuelled my decision the most, is the lack of downloads on Creators Club, especially when being compared to my liveries and scenarios (my regular content). It shows that maybe they (Railfan scenarios) are something that my fanbase don't enjoy as much. I'd rather create content that people will enjoy and use more often i.e. liveries, than a scenario where you stand at a station watching trains go by. That is something you can do in timetable mode for example.


Is it something within your control that could be changed or not?

No. I've done the best I could in promoting it, but the whole idea clearly doesn't suit what I do best. Making scenarios where you drive the train, not stand about and watch them go by. However, I've said many a time that the concept was a trial. And the results have showed (except Carlisle)... less than 50 subscribers each. I'd rather use my resources on doing things my fanbase enjoy, compared to something that they won't.


On a slightly more positive note, I won't tell you if your guess is correct until the CC Roadmap releases next week. You'll have to read it to find out I suppose .

Hey you know me I appreciate honesty, also in a public domain because it’s us the Human behind the show.
Having my pros and cons shows I am Human and so hopefully people can relate to that.

You’re only explaining the Human side of all this. Because you are a Human not a Super Computer
Yet if you set you mind back a few months now then we had a conversation about what else is out of our control are is it?.

I tell you why,,,my son set up a TSLP account on Tic Tok. Now he shown me this a year ago or so have totally forgotten about it.
Obviously I wasn’t so pleased and guess I’d need to short it out. But last time I looked it had thousands and mean loads of likes and hundreds and hundreds of comments. Which told me for my work to gain more attention then you will not get that attention here.

Again going back to what I said about that click that promote each other on YT. If they are seen on a wider scale then work would be checked out and so will you. That’s your channel audience who follow you and you talk to be on Discord or something.
Look at is as advertising yourself. Or selling a product. You have to be out there to be seen, or get you product to many customers or sellers as you can. YT call them fans but I know a few YT and we’re not fans just punters raising their channel for money purposes.

But if you’re not into promoting your channel as it’s more to do with work on here or on CC. Getting it seen from more than one place will probably help rescue Railfan Scenarios. The issue is now people on here. Yet Tic Tok or YT then the world is your oyster.
Younger generations will not come here, it’s not fast or visually engaging. So you missing out on a massive audience.

It’s been the same for me, as again I have been wanting a YT channel for ages. I could get one made but am I happy with what I have got, and if so why open a YT channel. That’s my choice as is your if you wanted to try save this.
If it’s something you haven’t tried or an avenue you have exhausted then did you try everything?.

I know you can hold your own tho and you will probably stick to your decision. But again it’s what started all this off, and I could say if nothing is working on here for Rail 200 then should I open or we use 3 open a YT channel. You show and discuss you work and we do the same with ours, even mix it up with how to do tutorials for scenarios and for liveries.

If it’s something you or I haven’t tried then is worth us moving with the times?.
It’s dead here and you and I know it.

Look at LazerJet and what he does, the work we do is far superior yet we have 2 likes and he’s laughing all the way to the Bank.
Think about it because I am.

Quick question, (may sound silly) how do the meetings work?

 

Hey we wouldn’t just expect that, and to be fair you would be supporting by help us reach our goals.
So for meetings and to save on to many at the table I’d keep that as 3 anyway. But I will always listen and support you, if we feel it would be a benefit to the group and project I see now harm in helping with ideas and direction.

It’s sounds serious that only due to what’s involved. Don’t mean we all can’t have some fun along the way.

Stick around if you can just incase we need to hear about your credentials.

I don’t mean like I don’t want to be part of the team, it’s just i will produce content as a sort of like to help out with producing content for the whole event idea, like you, TG08 and Jplayz are the main developers, but I sorta work on extra stuff if you can understand. Okay that’s absolutely fine and more than happy to work in under these conditions. I was gonna say still mid meeting but it’s good news mate.
