Just got back from Denmark. Had an amazing trip. The trains there are really tall I've noticed but even in standard class they're much more comfortable than trains in the UK. Their standards are that of planes which I thought was amazing. The ticket machines were a bit confusing at first but the language barrier probably doesn't help. Anyway here's a few photos from my trip.
The East Anglian Railway Museum today for the Essex Electrics Exhibition. I must say the 309 is looking fantastic, it's quite incredible the progress that's been made since it arrived at the EARM.
Today was the day that the ICE3M, BR406 has driven its last miles in the Netherlands. A farewell trip was arranged by Deutsche Bahn, NS International and NVBS, it went from Hannover Messe (a nod to how the service started 25 years ago) via Rheine - Almelo - Amersfoort - Amsterdam Central - The Hague HS - Rotterdam - Sittard and on to Aachen and Frankfurt! Enjoy this icon for the last time on Dutch tracks, in special livery (even with the British ICE logo, commemorating the channel crossing of a BR406 unit) and with a lot of bells and whistles:

SRPS & GBRF Grangemouth Growler Railtour at Tweedbank, Bo'ness, Ayr and Largs on Saturday. Long 20 hour shift but it was definitely worth it.
the E-G has been packed today with good moves! Even had a wave from the chairman of LSL himself Mr Jeremy Hosking! On his way up to the highlands for his Easter UK tour
Happy 100 years of W24 Calbourne being on the Isle of Wight. The last surviving Adams o2 she has only left the island for events on the mainland. Once a LSWR Loco. She was one of the 2 to build the electrify the line between Ryde Pier and Shanklin. Hopefully one day steam will return to tsw and the island as a steam era route and a Heritage railway could come to have this lovely loco class
