What Is Baking?

I've heard a lot about baking here, or light baking. I've no idea what it is!

So, in layman's terms please, what is baking (in relation to TSW, not bread )?

That is actually quite helpful hyperlord . We have all been referring to it in discussions about sub surface stations and DTG’s reluctance to do routes which include them but now we have the fuller picture. Of course, one would have thought the UE experts on staff or an available to DTG as consultants could overcome the complexity. It’s a far cry though from MSTS where if you wanted something to show up underground, you simply gave the face(s) of the objective a “half bright” property.

I'm sorry but this is the first thing that came to my mind when I saw "baking"

 

I put my pc in the oven to bake my route and now nothing works!

You're only supposed to bake it lightly

 

some would say that means installing RTX 5090

 

Which would bake me and everything else in the room. The 4080 is unbearable in the summer. They can keep the 5090.
