Every Friday the Dovetail team will be choosing the winner of the previous week's contest, announcing the winners immediately and opening the new week's thread with the new theme. Competition Rules: Limit is 2 screenshots per person; 1 screenshot per post. Include in your post the route the screenshot was taken on. Include the name of the train (if applicable). Screenshots must be in a 16:9 resolution, at least 1920x1080 pixels. Screenshots must fit the theme of the week, as stated at the end of this post. Official content only. A Miami Commuter Rail F40PHL-2 races down the Miami-West Palm Beach Route at the crack of dawn with a train full of commuters.
Union Pacific 844 passes between a set of tunnels while pulling an excursion through the Feather River Canyon in 2009. Route Used: Feather River Canyon Locomotive Used: UP FEF-3
While the station master and engineer discuss timetables, locomotive #514 simmers away at the depot in Butler one cool evening in 1925. Route Used: Bessemer & Lake Erie Locomotive Used: B&LE Santa Fe Hopefully one of these days my night shots will win a contest. They're a real strain on my computer to make with all the lights I place down.

Amtrak's Coast Starlight lead by 2 "Pepsi Cans" runs eastbound past Coyote in the 90's. The consists contains a mix of Superliner's and old Hi-Levels. Route: Peninsula Corridor: San Francisco - Gilroy Locomotive: Amtrak Dash 8-32BWH
The USA has some impressive sights and the bluffs of Utah are an example. Here a couple of GP9s haul a train of boxcars up towards the top of Soldier Summit, Provo to Helper as they pass a rock formation known as The Castle Gate.
On a cloudier day a short train of GP9s passes a waiting coal train headed by an SD40T-2 as it heads up Soldier Summit, Provo to Helper.

It's a busy day at the Western Pacific depot at Keddie, California in 1983. Here we see an Amtrak special led by an single F40PH, awaiting its passengers, of which are children attending a field trip. But it isn't all fun and games. On the other side of the depot, a small line of cars are being loaded by workers who have accepted cargo from customers around the area. Locos: U30B, F40PH, and F7. Old meets new as a Norfolk Southern freight rounds the iconic Pennsylvania Railroad's Horseshoe Curve, as an excursion train overtakes it. Route: Horseshoe Curve Locos: PRR EMD F7 (A-B-A set), Norfolk Southern ES44AC (x2)

Nice shot nonetheless, grats winner - but in as many weeks the community voted is the non winner - why do votes at all ? I know since several months ago it was announced votes dont make gospel anymore but ive seen weeklys where they still kinda do... Its confusing
