No matter if I am driving an American diesel or electric train "overhead or 3rd rail" I am always annoyed by the alterter buzzing off unexpectedly. WHY? It is absolutely driving me nuts, is there ANY way to turn it off and just enjoy any scenario, there is absolutely NO traffic or train blocking the track ahead. It makes no sense. I just want to enjoy a quick drive, career or standard scenario without this damn buzzer spamming and stopping the train continuously

After I had recorded the video, I was unable to even get the train to move either! Not even pressing the Q key will reset the alerter

I do not recognize the Route. Which one are you running this on? Also please clarify the rolling stock so that someone could try and replicate.

    Train will not move.jpg

I forgot to mention, I also got this issue! The train completely stops dead, I try to press the Q key and it will not move
You can see full throttle here and 0.0 miles per hour

Ah so you have downloaded some Workshop routes? Was everything working before you downloaded these? Some Workshop material is known to give errors. I personally never use them as some can be very good and some can crash the game as they are user generated and uploaded. If you know the source the item may be very good. If you download a 'rogue' item then beware.

Consult the manual for each train and turn the alerter off.
Pretty much none of the systems are compatible, even those released back to back.
Most usually the in-cab script defaults to Danger and prevents you from moving. AEM-7 and ACS-64 on each other's respective routes.
Typically Ctrl+D, Ctrl+F and Ctrl+A toggle these systems.

The video banner above shows Restricted which limits you to 15 mph. You're travelling at 20 so you're supposed to apply train-specific "significant" brakes and acknowledge. You can release brakes in advance of falling below the prescribed speed (usually you lose another 5-10 mph during the release process) but you have 8 seconds to do so.

In the big picture in post #4 you have panto up and it's 3rd rail territory. The manual explains the power switch procedure.

You should drive the scenarios of each train first, they educate rather well. Ideally, also Elphaba's (High Iron Sim) workshop stuff, he tends to note these instructions.

As previously stated in #3 I was having the problem before downloading and installing workshop routes
I have only downloaded some Australian routes from UKTrainsim, trainsim.com and of course the workshop places where I trust and been using for few years

I was searching the workshop for other routes because I was bored. So, I downloaded and installed the Harlem Line, Hudson Line Extension route, Washington to Philadelphia and New Haven to Boston

Sorry? The video does not show me driving over any speed limit! The video shows that the line is 110 mph and I am travelling around 35 mph because of the alerter trying to stop the train. There is no traffic, the next signal is unknown miles away from where I began recording

In the screenshot, 0.0 mph, with full throttle 100% and not moving

I am not understanding how you see me driving 20 mph + and telling me I should be driving 15 mph?? I'm a bit confused there!!
The pantograph was automatically set as raised in quick drive, I never raised it! Personally, it doesn't matter. In real life it des but not in a virtual world

I wouldn't be posting this thread if I did not test all of the scenarios by the above routes posted in my post #3
hence, the reason why I made this thread.

Look at the bottom right corner of the capture. Do you see the glowing R? Line speed can be anything but the signal speed is 15.
The line coming from the R and meeting that of the speed helps to see that your current speed of 20 is above what's permitted.

Because there is no power supply.

The M8 is specifically programmed for the transition on the connection between the Harlem line and the New Haven line. The Grand Central used 3rd rail while the PRR overhead. On this train, it does matter. Based on the station stops and the gantry in the middle of the station but no overhead wires, you have just passed out of the overhead section into the 3rd rail section. Some trains change automatically but you may need to press some buttons on the M8, I don't remember.

additional to some speed restrictions there are some incompatible trains and routes. I dont know anymore which ones, but I tried once a train on New York - Philli. Didn´t worked well because the alerter goes on and on too and I was´nt allowed to do speed. Same train on New York - New Haven no Problem. So the trains /or the route-signals from NewYork - New Haven as example, I think are not well compatible to other outes.

Still one more problem, after stopping at a railway station! I can't even get the train to move? Why? I have read the user manuals and there's no troubleshooting as to explain why the train will no longer move?? BUG??

Which train? I have been testing out the M8. It has been running smooth. There is a lag between being notified that the doors are closed and after releasing the brakes waiting for the brake pressure to release.

2 trains I have had not being able to move after stopping at a railway station to pickup/drop off passengers, even if at first the scenario is going well at first and all of a sudden it just happens..

    https://store.steampowered.com/app/258655/Train_Simulator_MetroNorth_P32_ACDM_Genesis_Loco_AddOn/
    and
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/258647/Train_Simulator_MetroNorth_Kawasaki_M8_EMU_AddOn/

I put the train into full throttle as shown in the above screenshot immediately after passengers has finished boarding the train "no red loading thingy is indicating" and somehow, I can't get the train to even move! I have put the throttle to 0, applied the brake to at least 80% for both trains put the train into neutral waited for at least 1 minute, press the Q key! Put the train into the forward position, released the brakes and every attempt to get either trains to move is seriously getting on my nerves. Even with full throttle, I repeatedly press the Q key and nothing will move!

I think I'm understanding why I normally stick to the Japanese routes and trains in TSC.

Spent some time and completed the following scenario. Everything was smooth using the M8. I would suggest you verify the DLCs associated with these trains. Respectfully

I think it's because I haven't played the game for so long I forgot about important things
I do appreciate everyone's advice and help :)

Yes those trains in the routes you have listed above do have peculiar signalling systems. I do have the routes, but seldom drive them because of that.
