My pleasure. Thanks for let us know Ghostface. I just double checked the timetable and that is an approach control signal. So no clue why it's not clearing for player or AI services. Does it affect both the 323 and 350? My only advice is to remove any mods that you have installed.
If anyone is interested in creating their own scenarios for Birmingham. I highly recommend spikeyorks additional paths mod, Scenarios - Bcc Extra Paths - New Mod Now Out | Dovetail Games Forums
Finally managed to find some time to spend on this new TT. Absolutely super work, Sir. Great watching the Pendo's and freight pass through Lichfield TV Great seeing New Street ALIVE with comings and goings Great seeing the HST's and 170's with their relevant liveries too Great seeing the other lines being used between New St & Bromsgrove and 350's at Aston. I do hope you have plans for create other TT's (ahem NTP) but take a well earned rest for now. Thank You.
Decided to have a wee drive earlier last night and what a difference! This new timetable breathes so much life into New Street especially even with some of the freight layers missing. Did run into a couple of problems though on a mid afternoon run from Lichfield T. Valley to Bromsgrove though. 1: The objective marker to complete a station stop at New Street would not clear until the front of the train creeped right up to the edge of it. The front of the train was basically kissing the objective marker in order for it to clear. 2: On my approach to Bromsgrove, I was given an amber signal with a position one indicator on the feather lit up, suggesting I was going to be diverging left into platform 4. However, this never happened and I was routed into platform 3 as per the hud instructions. No idea why the feather lit up when I never branched off. Apart from those two wee issues though, this is a fab timetable for Cross City. Seriously, if you're on PC and meet the requirements, what are you doing? Go download this timetable and play for yourself!
Thanks for the advice! I was thinking something similar and, sure enough, I had Bescot's approach control mod installed. Removing it seems to have cleared the issue.
Thanks Scorpion71. NTP huh. All that I can say is if it's not on the roadmap! Thanks Scotrail170. You wouldn't happen to what service you were operating. All of the objective markers should have a fairly high tolerance. If you are not sure you can login into your account at Dovetail Live and click on Drivers Logbook. Can't say I've seen that before at Bromsgrove. No clue what might be going on but I'll go take a run down there to see if the same happens to me. Glad you found the issue Ghostface1701.
Certainly. The service I was running was 2 Oscar 39, the 14:48 Lichfield T. Valley - Bromsgrove service. I should also mention I was running said service with LondonMidland's signal and Cross City Route EP. I'll uninstall them and take another crack later tonight and see if that fixes the issues.
CFTFC: removing this mod also did the trick for me! Thanks for the support, also to Ghostface1701 regards
Version 1.1 is now available to download. This version now works on Xbox PC Version. Also includes the following fixes: Converted 4 AI freight services to playable. Fixed AI 350 services starting with pantograph down. Added static consist to Kings Norton Depot. Fixed missing driver on AI 170 services. Removed Scotrail signage from interior of 170. Download - Birmingham Cross City 2021 Timetable
I looked further into this Scotrail170, 1. Due to split platforms at New Street I had to use a Stop at Exact location instruction to force AI services to stop at the right spot along the platform. Looks like it affects player services as well. So for everyone make sure you stop within 5 yards of the objective marker. 2. I received a position four junction indicator on approach to Bromsgrove which is what I would expect.
Cheers for looking into it, I'll keep the markers in mind next time I go through New Street. Maybe the feather is supposed to light up, I've just not touched BCC in a good while up until you released your timetable mod. I apologise in advance for not getting back to you regarding if my mods break anything, but I've unfortunately been busy dealing with personal affairs over the past few days. Thanks once again for all your hard work, will have a crack at V1.1 when I get the time to!
I suppose it's a mod conflict. I'll play with the load order and see if that helps. Or it's possible this mod overloads my paltry 4GB of VRAM
Did a run earlier on 2O19 and the PIS displays at Four Oaks were like this..... Other stations were all OK though as per the second image.
I see someone hasn't played Roadmap Bingo. Well if you go to your local planning office and head down to the cellar. You'll find it in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying ‘Beware of the Leopard’. That's an interesting glitch. Just loaded into Four Oaks and everything looked fine.
Sorry can't help you there solicitr. My potato PC has been twice baked and generally struggles with TSW. It's the reason I didn't include any shots of New Street. I also don't think New Street is well optimized with all of the walkable corridors above the track.
Superb work, New Street is awesome now. Going to delay my departure from Redditch by about 10 mins to see how the dispatcher copes....will be interesting!
Well I've probably just had my most immersive run in TSW so far. If you like adverse signals/delays, try the 8AM service from Redditch to Four Oaks, leaving with about an 8 minute delay....superb. So much AI now with this excellent timetable, XCountry's whizzing past you on the mains, brilliant. On arrival at an extremely busy New Street, noticed other services were delayed on the PIS screens due to my lateness. And to top it all, the dispatcher handled the chaos easily, no lock ups. I think the dispatcher is better than we all think, surely DTG could code in some random AI delay into the timetables to give infinte amounts of playability, without the player instigating it at the start. Maybe as an experimental option with the proviso that there could be issues.
I presume it would. The only thing is that the RHTT's won't appear in the timetable. It's a bit similar to what's available for the WCML 2019 timetable which doesn't require Mildmay, but if you want those services for the Watford DC line you can get it
Thanks fakenham. Glad you are enjoying it. If I had only read your first post, I would have said good luck as I never tested the TT like that. Have to say I am a little relieved it worked.
Hey ludwigtails. Yes the TT will work without the RHTT. The only requirement is the Class 323 which of course comes with the Route. All other services are layers which activate if you have the required DLC installed.
I live between Northfield and Longbridge Station, it's great to see so much AI represented on the route. These are not quibbles but just things that may be an option for a future release: Earlier 170 runs, as the first one runs past me at 5:52 to Gloucester, so assuming would leave around 5:35 ish at New street. Also, do any AI from Tyseley load up with ECS from their holding depot in the mornings? Lastly, my request would be to see if any AI HST, like a Rail Adventure livery could be implemented and a class 20(s) and europhoenix 37 be added to Kings Norton sidings just to populate it for when there are no RHTT it's operating or even when they are present in the timetable. Otherwise, my last request is perhaps for us to use the DRS 66 pack from Rivet but allowing Daventry/Wentloog Tesco trains and also the EWS it's to run the steel coils or empties along with a banking 66. There are even Freightliner heavy hauls from Lawley Street and GBRF use several liveries 66's that run cement and JNA wagons which we also have on TSW If you any reference details, I have friends who operate within the railway network but I also have information for historic workings to match the timetable era. Thank you for a fantastic update, I absolutely love it.
Also, I have 307 services loading up which means the 4 freight services are missing, this value also showed on Train Sim TV's recent YouTube video. Can I ask what is needed to allow these to work please?
hmmm for some reason i tried spawning the XC HST manually in a free roam and the train doesnt show up. even in formation designer.
Not played this route in a while but added this Mod onto my PC (PC Xbox version) and wow its really livened the route up. My first mod added into TSW as I only thought Mods were for the steam version. Great work fella
Thanks alexjjones6024. Glad you are having fun with it. As someone else mentioned the playable freight services were added with Version 1.1 of the timetable. I used the same freight layers as the original timetable which are Southeastern High Speed and Tees Valley. I will look at the other 66's but I don't want to make the requirement list too long. The earliest 170 service is 1V02 Birmingham New Street - Cardiff Central which departs at 5:37. There are ECS services to and from Tyseley throughout the day. Five arrive between 5:25 and 7:05 to start the day. One departs to Tyseley at 8:40 and two return at 15:58 & 16:58. A bunch head to Tyseley between 20:08 and 0:08. With the latest timetable I have added static RHTT and 2 EMT Class 43 to Kings Norton depot.
I just spawn both HST formations with no problems. Sometime it takes up to a minute. Check the 2D map to see if it has added it.
Although I didnt wait for a minute at least to let it try load in. But even the map didnt detect there was any train at all. Is something wrong with how I installed the mod?
One of us, one of us lol! welcome into this prestigious club with the ability to play 1000+ services in TT mode with even more AI services running around to enhance ones immersion along with liveries not in the OG for the actual rolling stock! ..... everything is better on PC
Hmm interesting. Stupid question but do you have the Great Western Express route installed. Also try spawning a GWE HST first, wait for it to load and then remove it. Now try spawning the XC HST. Sometimes you have to give it a good whack to get it working.
really weird because that IS the case. I had to spawn in a GWE HST in first then I was able to spawn in the XC HST. And by the way, would it because of a limitation of MK3 variants that the second first class carriage isnt possible to be made?
I think this caused by the addon manager as GWE may not have loaded when you spawned into the route. Not that unusually as I have had to do the same for all 3 reskins (HST, 158 and 170).
I'm not seeing any of these ECS services when selecting either of the class 170 variants in timetable mode.... Are the ECS services all AI only? (I have the latest version of the mod)
Yeah all ECS services are AI (except for some 323's) as all the depots (Soho, Tyseley & Barton Under Needwood) are off-map.
Found the problem. This may not be an issue for players with more powerful machines, but on mine, combining this TT with Bescot's graffiti overlay mod overloads VRAM, causing blurry textures. Turning the graffiti off solved it.
Thanks for the update. I wondered if it was an add-on conflict. It has to be related to your PC because I run all the mods on this line with no problem, but I have a gaming PC. I know from experience it can certainly be frustrating when it seems you're the only one with the issue.
