I'm beginning to wonder if we will see Clinchfield or Cane Creek within our lifetimes. I'm not getting any younger.;)
Plus, they always seemed to be perfectly workable in TS right from the beginning, or is that what you meant?
I get that. So how is it possible to include them in a new route and avoid the performance hit? Is there a new modeling system in place?
You know, watching the preview stream for SEHS, I was struck by two things graphics wise. I. There was at least one fully functioning grade...
The absence of properly functioning grade crossings on Sand Patch and other routes was explained by the "performance hit" that would result from...
No question. That is the oft stated policy for all releases.
Well I finally hooked up and calibrated my RD. Only tried it on SPG so far but works just fine for the AC4400CW and SD40. All the basic controls...
I own both but haven't gotten around to playing them yet.
I only remember the one from the stream, but it did work very nicely. So that negates what has been said in the past about the big performance hit...
You know, if I recall correctly, Clinchfield has been "in production" since last September. Can it be far away? Another thing that intrigues me is...
Absolutely. I think any Scandinavian route would have a good deal of support from TSW2 players.
If you like these kinds of activities, you really should try Sand Patch Grade.:)
Start by looking at the recommended hardware on the TSW Steam page (any route) and then experiment with the settings menu.
Roadmap at train sim world.com. TS is PC only I'm afraid, but you can see screenshots on the Dovetail website and video on YouTube etc..
Having an F series car body locomotive for TSW2 is an exciting first, hope there will be more though I'm not sure where they would run. They could...
Well, not being from that neck of the woods, I don't know the route well (just 2 or3 trips to the Channel ports some years ago). But I thought the...
If this is really the reason for the lack of AI and empty yards, it will become less and less relevant as time goes by. Looking at the specs for...
I just did a coal loading service at Rockwood on SPG and after I finished loading all the cars( or so I thought), no new objective appeared. On a...
I have to agree. The F40PH and its variants are ubiquitous among North American commuter railroads and they're really out of place nonetheless. I...
Reading the various anticipatory threads about this route in the last couple of weeks, you could sense the excitement rising to unrealistic...
Had to chuckle when I read this. I've been harping on about the water textures in TSW2 it seems like forever. To be fair, IoW is not alone in this...
I agree. I really don't see the point of this poll. Nothing useful to be gained or learned.
Apart from your remarks being very unpleasant, even offensive, for goodness sake what difference does it make? We are one community of train fans...
As it is now, the only people in the US who can watch it live are those who are not working because it starts between 12pm and 3pm. Fortunately...
Maybe the fact that much of the company is working remotely has something to do with it. I'm sure they have the latest technology, but it's bound...
A sizable minority I think. And I agree with you about the F7, the jewel in the crown.
The American routes of course, but I'll also take a look at the Great Western 70's pack. I have so much German stuff that I have hardly touched...
Well, I think we can assume that the TSW2 Clinchfield route will have the slow speed coal loading like SPG, though I'm pretty sure it will have...
I'm not so sure that merging would work very well. I think that quite a lot of posts are platform specific and, since I know virtually nothing...
It's worth pointing out that: 1. DTG's prices for dlc (TS and TSW) haven't changed/increased for as long as I can remember. 2.As mentioned, lower...
Not a bad idea but I think the response would be to use the "technical" sub forum for those kinds of issues. Still, as I said, it might fly.
Yes, did the same service a few days ago. Not difficult to maintain 2mph or so, but it does take a heck of a long time. Actually used the auto...
I was wondering about that too. There are about 50 hoppers, after all.
Now that's very interesting. To the best of my recollection I've never had an AI train blow its horn. That would be a real hoot.
DTG have made it clear that they have no plans to introduce a full editor for TSW2 at this time. That could change at some point but it's not on...
These are my "favorites" . Why they haven't even been acknowledged let alone put on the roadmap is a complete mystery. Really like the loco but.....
Sorry, but you can't buy a gaming PC for $600 or even 600 pounds, at least not one which will run TSW2 at high settings. If that's your budget, go...
Still hooked on SPG despite some long-standing bugs which I wish would get fixed. However, Clinchfield might move to #1 when it finally gets here....
What an excellent idea. I'm thinking about getting a Rail Driver and I'll add that to my purchase.
True, and there are a number of other issues, including the nonfunctional radio circuit and banking com on the dash8. In fact there are a host of...
Agreed, but the idea of a Norfolk Southern line in Indiana is valid, perhaps an east-west route starting in Fort Wayne. It's a very busy area for...
I think the point is that developing multiplayer would eat up resources that would be better employed improving the single player version as a...
Actually, I don't think this thread has been negative. Almost all of the posts reflect an air of gratitude and anticipation.
I'm not sure that you can take the "6 month" rule as written in stone. For example, the Clinchfield route was "in planning" at the end of August...
I agree. If someone starts a thread offering " props " to DTG, it's just plain mean spirited to offer negative comments which spoil its purpose....
There are some great North American steam locomotives - just imagine driving a Big Boy, Challenger, Berkshire or GS-4 etc. I'm not a diehard steam...
These kinds of activities are quite common on TS. I'm thinking particularly of a couple of Norfolk Southern routes. Be nice to have that railroad...
I agree. Resurrecting a two year old thread should incur at least a 15 yard penalty and an automatic first down (new thread):D
Has this been noted before? Service U87x. Dash8. SPG. After backing down to Shaw Mine tipple, then loading all the hoppers and moving back to the...
