You're half correct Cane Creek is being made by a third party dev, but Clinchfield is being made by DTG.
Then if it is that old than that will be up to you looking at mine it does not appear that hard to get into.

It has nothing to do with TSW2 working with the drivers it was explained that it's Unreal Engine and if it will accept those drivers.
I would submit a ticket and let DTG know that this seems to be a re-occurring issue, they may have some suggestions as to what might be causing...
