Nice to see DTG partnering with third-party sound developers. Now if only they would collaborate with Searchlight Simulations...
You can pick up some higher-quality freeware Hudsons here: https://digitalrailroadingco.powweb.com/dr/home/archive/motive-power/steam-locomotives/
Yeah, the 265H was a four-stroke. Most people described them as sounding like a cross between a GE and an Alco.
Looks great so far! Is this a recreation of a real route, or is this fictional?
Those look great! I assume most of those (except the P42s) are on Railworks America?
Same here. I don't think I've ever seen a one of those around KC before (then again, I'm not really up in that part of town very much). Sherman...
I've had it crash on me because I had left it alone on the main menu screen for too long.
I hope that they make their own Dash-9s, or port over Jointed Rail's Dash-9s.
On most engines, especially older models (like the Dash-9), the dynamics are really buggy and probably just shouldn't be used at all.
Yeah, what 749006 said. Just open your task manager and select Train Simulator, then click end program.
Yep, saw it a few days ago. Eagerly awaiting the release!
I didn't think the dash 8 had a quillable horn.
Union Station would be nice too, would allow us to recreate 844's run from KC to Topeka.
Check to see if one of them is going bad. I have a similar issue going on where looking one way has a normal volume level while looking the other...
Are you using headphones or speakers?
It's already out.
Will be looking forward to this!
Saw it on their Facebook page. Looks great so far!
Might want to try the TSW forums.
That's a nice one! Hope it wins!
Could you provide a screenshot of one of those files?
I'm thinking about creating KCS's Mexico Subdivision once I learn how to create custom models, but that might be a while though.
I'm thinking of doing KCS's Mexico Subdivision once I figure out how to create custom models, but that probably won't be for a while though.

Somebody actually made a Hudson Line extension to Albany on the Steam Workshop....
I found a video of it on YouTube, has a few custom sounds, but most of them are the default SD70 sounds.
Still hoping they do KC - Topeka.
Sounds good to me!
In the Youtube comment section of the Transcontinental Railroad Anniversary livestream, Smokebox responded to someone asking if he would make Big...
What's the link supposed to be?
I don't think anyone here knows what the next U.S DLC will be.
I think they actually are already in the game, or at least the version I have.
Just checked, looks like it was removed. I'm not sure if there's anything else out there like that.
There's a mod available on TheLocoShop that makes cars "kickable."
LiquidShadows: GE never made a DC variant of the ET44
Pacific Surfliner by far.
Unfortunately, I don't think I've encountered this problem before. Sorry.
What you need to do is open the .xml file that controls the whistle for the engine, and anywhere it references the modded sound files, replace...
Are the modded sound files .wav files?
Kansas City to Wellington. Part of BNSF's Southern Transcon. Runs about 223 miles.
Here's a remake of the original Test Track. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=667851505&searchtext=test+track+NA
I believe in the asset list it shows up in the "JL" folder. Try looking there.
None that I'm aware of.
I think I saw in the developer documents that changing the center of mass to a negative value will make it impossible for a train to derail by...
I think the damper is bound to the "M" key. If you open the F5 HUD (press F5 twice), it should tell you if the damper if open or closed. It is...
They're available on RWA. http://railworksamerica.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=20312
Seems like DTG kind of rushed this one out...
I see you have the floating signals too.
Separate names with a comma.
