Until the patch, I just run on the Trenton line without the safety systems on. I know it not an ideal situation but, it is better than nothing.

Yes, I was practicing by just using the in-cab speedometer with all safety systems off as well with no issues.

With the ATC on and ACSES on I get put into emergency for reasons unknown (not breaking any speed restrictions). I can not recover from this....
I am actually enjoying the route. The lack of services is really not a deal breaker for me. I am a Yank that really enjoys the British routes....
