Theres no way to do this in service mode,u can form a 6 car 166 at reading depot early hours, but u will get stopped at reading as all 3 car 166...

Do a full shut down on the train including engine that should reset it all

There is some performance updates but unsure what they are, normaly there is a list released on the day of an update
