Almost certainly not. As it's a laptop, and you do not mention graphics, I'm assuming that it does not have a GPU and uses the integrated UHD600...
I get all that, but obviously AP want to sell AP products. That's not unreasonable.
Yes it does... which is free.. easy to use... and well documented and covered in a myriad of videos and tutorials... like this one.......
Just a reminder... you can swap out any train from any standard scenario, with any train you like. No one is forcing anyone to buy the 455 EP.
I'd buy MML direct from JT, not Steam, as then you can have all the add on routes for it.
I never go anywhere on a Bank Holiday weekend? Going places on one of the few days a year everyone else wants to go as well seems like a bad idea...
Is it working now?
Replied in the thread you linked to.
Sound to me like you are dragging the assets folder into the assets folder, which will just create a second assets folder inside the main one.....

I remember that post when he made it at the time, but I had no success following his instructions. I'll give it another go this weekend.
I have a "Gaming" paypal account. I just put odd amounts in now and then. A fiver here... couple of quid there... maybe a tenner once in a...
He's probably running it on minimum settings.... on a potato.
I think you'd be surprised how many others do just that :)
Yes.. to alert you that there is a missing asset. If a tree was replaced by another tree... you'd never know :) ...you'd just wonder why this...
We've all felt that, sure, but I still think most AP products are priced fairly, and similarly to other 3rd party providers, such as Just Trains.
It was TS2021, which has had many core updates since 2012 :)
That's a question for whoever designed the route.
Sure... it looks terrible. [MEDIA]
Yeah been through this with several people... never had any success in unpacking an .ap file, adding to it, then repacking it.
Apparently so, but I've never managed to get them to work afterwards. No idea what I'm doing wrong, but since Fastload became a thing, I've tried...
I think that would be extremely problematic to implement, and also woudl mean that the author, effectively has no control over how their work is...
Then why not just call it Train Simulator? LOL. Saying TS2012 is just as confusing as all the other examples you give. As the receiver of the...
In my experience, it is the payware routes that are worse. I think maybe because the freeware routes are a labour of love, with no release...
Why do you keep writing TS2012?
That's always the case :) More than half of my almost complete AP collection was bought through sales.
I'd be intersted to know if all routes are this accurate. I know some are not. Woodhead in Blue springs to mind... although I still love that...
Is that really 3rd party though... I mean really? So 3 in three years... woohoo!... only a couple of thousand years before it catches up then :)
It's been out for three years.... Pretty much no 3rd party content. If none is around already, then it's not going to happen. I wonder in way...
Any train sim is only as accurate as the route of course, but OTS have clearly done a great job.. apart from the buildings when approaching...
The average price for AP products seems to be less than £20. There are very few priced at £30. In fact, there is only one product at £30.
So, in answer to a question no one asked... here's real life vs. Train Sim. [MEDIA] Route: OTS Northern Lines Electric Original video courtesy...
You're welcome.
Class 185?
No idea. It's only a sound file, not he whole product, and would have been useless to me without owning the AP class 40. Besides, it's irrelevant...
Well why am I not surprised by that. LOL
Yes, go to your Railworks folder..... C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\ ...and make a shortcut to "Railworks64.exe" on...
You can use any loco with any route within reason, yes. SOme routes have free roam scenarios that will allow you to wander around and drive...
The single most effective upgrade you can make is to move from a mechanical hard drive to a solid state drive.
You need to just ignore people. I do all the time, and life becomes far more tolerable. As you say, the merge woudl be useful for those who...
Why was there hostility?
Use Scan, They've been in the business for 35 years, and you'll struggle to get better prices from a reputable dealer anywhere else (depending on...
Incidentally, your rig is capable of running with much higher settings. Don't obsess over frame rate. You don't need it in a sim. You're not...
I think that's your issue then. Your frame rates are good, but the mechanical HDD is struggling to load in time. A SSD, even a SATA one will solve...
Then that's baffling. I have a 10 year old PC with a i7-3960x in it... 16GB of DDR3... a 1st gen SATA SSD, and a 6 year old GTX980Ti. I run...
The closest I can find in my own font collection, which is massive and bulit up over nearly 30 years, is " Square721 Ex BdEx BT" which I seem to...
Did they reply?
Yes, there will always be parts of a route where FPS drops as assets are loaded, but not to the extent you describe. If you can reach 125fps then...
Just ran a AP156 from Nottingham to Derby and all was well here. I get the same frame rates as I do for almost all other routes (30 to 40fps) and...
Doesn't have Barrow Hill though.
