Yeah, my main reason for a modern day setting is because I have only seen the 331s on it and I quite like how they look
I focus on one route for a while (currently been on SEHS for the past 2-3 months). I will only change the route I drive in if I get bored. With...
Having travelled on this line in real life, I would like to see it in game. But as others have said, modern day with the 331s instead of 321s. I...
Only problem is Northern do not run services in Devon. Iirc they only go as far south as Nottingham
Then just stop ingoring people. 395s and 225s on WCML is very unrealistic as neither were designed for it and have never run there in real life.
The 395s were specifically designed for the Southeastern network with HS1 compatibility. Having one on the WCML is just the same as a Pendolino...
That's why I added the last paragraph. In any case, it would be better if we got a route that is exclusively ECML/WCML.
Suits me just fine as I will be on my nights off :D
That and possibly extend it to Cardiff. Would make for a decent run of around 50-60 miles which should be manageable.
I quite like the appeal of them (and have been on them a few times), despite them now showing their age.
As soon as WCML or ECML are added, people will only start complaining that the route is too short anyway
Isn't it the 807s that will eventually replace Pendolinos?
Agreeable. Whilst there are four separate countries, they are all considered one country under a collective name.
225s and 800s do not do WCML
Any train would sell well, as along as it runs either along the WCML or ECML
Wales is part of the UK but still a separate country, just like Scotland and Northern Ireland.
I know. Would be nice to get a decent run on both still.
The ECML is in the game (Darlington is on the ECML & a short section on SEHS). The WCML is also in Spirit of Steam (you wouldn't get to Crewe from...
Hopefully yes
You don't need to make two separate threads for the same suggestion. Also what you are suggesting is not feasible within the current parameters...
A workaround would be to spawn on foot rather that in the train. Then you've just got to hope it actually shows up.
Nto too bad until the game counts it as a stop the very second the train stops moving. Excellent suggestion.
Both most likely. Preston to Blackpool North is quite short.
Wakefield Line (Doncaster to Leeds via Wakefield Westgate) utilises the 331. The only downside is LNER 91s and/or Azumas might also be needed (at...
At least you can avoid all that with a virtual one. ;)
I presume you're talking to me? In any case, of there's something I cannot stand, it's people complaining because a certain feature hasn't been...
Sadly I live near no TSW routes. I have been down to Minehead (about 14 years ago) and near Glasgow (about 8 years ago). Never got near any of...
Fair enough, just trying to see it from both points of view
Add in the route to both Blackpool stations and that miles comes closer to 40
One thing I'm struggling to understand here. Many people I see are complaining about new features, or the general direction of TSW. Question is,...
In other words they can reach everyone and not have to upset anybody if they add a toggle for layers?
I would actually have to travel on an electrostar to see the difference (of which I've never been near one), but from what I've seen of them 185s...
SEHS is my favourite route atm purely because of the additional layers. Yes, they might be unrealistic, but I am after immersion, and a TGV on...
Looking forward to both. I think I'll buy the 700/0 first though as it adds yet more variety to my (currently) favourite route.
Sprinters aren't exactly overrated, unless it is anything but a 158. 185s are nice can't say they are better than electrostars though. I am based...
I'm only on SEHS at the moment but when I have gone onto others there is no problem. IIrc I have had this problem since I installed MML, if that helps
Does that mean the weather is seasonal? I know it will only snow between November and March
I haven't had this issue yet. But then again, I haven't been able to play much.
Did you spawn on foot with each individual service? The 37 ROG services are split between Jan-Feb and Mar-Apr. Haven't managed to test Class 33...
Not so bad until you realise that two junctions are right next to each other and you keep selecting the wrong one! :|
Yes the Kentish Crompton uses coaches from SoS so that it required unfortunately.
Agree with this. Plenty of other areas to explore yet.
Both would be nice. But maybe fantasy is getting in the way of realism here.
Better than some of the examples on here, wouldn't exactly call it ugly. Each to their own, I guess.
Sprinter era it must be.
Class 37 ROG between January and March. The Charity Javelin is all year round. I think that is right. Can't speak for the 33 though
In that case BR blue would probably be viable but I would prefer modern-iahbtines (ie last 10-15 years or so)
They could work around it by setting it before TfW ran services in Wales.
Or just disable it altogether as it does not serve a useful purpose (unless it does something I'm not aware of).
It is especially annoying when you are driving true to life as you then get marked down for being late
