I doubt they traveled to the US to record new sounds, perhaps they have done a better mix of the original source files though.

Almost guaranteed that it will be the same sounds as the original NEC route and the F40PH from Peninsula Corridor.

While you are correct from a scientific standpoint, you have to consider the mindset of the marketing person who wrote that ... most people...

Hmm ... How about half of the route, with an SD40-2 and an AC4400, and the sounds from Sand Patch Grade?

Pretty disappointing to watch a few minutes of the TS21 Tehachapi stream today and realize that the soundscape of the route is (while not perfect)...
