Thank you. I forgot that it was possible to validate the installation. This has worked & seems to have cured the issue.
I've recently downloaded the the TSW5 update on both Steam and Epic, since I have DLCs in both... (yeah I know !) While Steam seems to be working...
It's a relief to find that there is a bug. I thought the game just thought I was being daft for trying to take an 8F Steam loco with wagons around...
