hello everybody As undoubtedly already know, this suggestion concerns an extra in the first Austrian route. It is about a new version of Siemens, also a Desiro, not the one from the UK, but one that can be found specifically in the European part (Germany, Belgium, Austria), although in Germany it is not in the service of the largest railway company, it is. the case in the other two countries. As in this suggestion concerns Austria The very first one came into service in 2015 to various places throughout the country, including S bahn services, as from December 2022 also the S Bahn in Vorarlberg About the Siemens Desiro Cityjet (4725,,4746) The 4744 is left out for this moment, it is not really intended for S Bahn duties, the difference is most obvious on the doors, the 4744 has 8 in total with the front and rear parts only one on each side instead of two. - Maximum speed: 160 km/h - Power 2000 kW - 3 parts - Length 79.9 m - 12 doors
It's a nice train, and I'd love to see it, but I hope DTG prioritise Railjet and/or Intercity, as that adds services that the route currently lacks.
Bring It On furthermore there are versions for it for this the one that you need is a ÖBB Baureihe 4748 and give S-Bahn Wien Innsbruck Salzburg CityJet ÖBB Baureihe 4744-4746 versions. Oddly the 4744-4746 4748 can serve as the base for Société Nationale Chemin du Fer Belge Wallonia AM08 Flamande Nationale Maatschappij Belgische Spoorwegen MS08
probably my fav train of all... especially as CJX - rode it as passenger on CJX5 from St. Polten to Wien Westbahnhof, 160 kph almost all the time except in Vienna... and CJX9 from Baden to Wien Hbf, doing around 140-150 kph from Baden to Wien Liesing my first ever ride on it was from Wien Hbf to Seyring, S2 service to Wolkersdorf I believe... I remember that once it got out of Vienna the acceleration was almost scary, never experienced such before that... still amazes me how fast it can pick up speed
