At roughly 58 miles it is shorter than Spoorlijn Zwolle – Groningen (66 miles) yet it has a a wider variety of things to do. It has two branches, a mixture of passenger and freight gameplay, cross-border services, and could get away with just one new train, making it an excellent choice for a first route in Scandinavia. It would be both (relatively) easy to develop and fun for players. It would include a mainly passenger line connecting Copenhagen and Lund, featuring the unique-looking X31K. At Malmo the route would branch off towards Trelleborg port - the route would be set before 2020 so passenger services in addition to freight would go to Trelleborg, using the train ferry for onwards travel towards the port of Sassnitz in Germany.
