On my PC, FPS can be more than 100, even 150. But 1% low is 20~40. What does this mean? Is the driver drunk?
You could have left out that last question. That means the lowest you'll get 1% of the time will be in that range. Some reasons why it might go that low is due to how busy the route is, scenery elements, big stations, lots of traffic, or stutters that can drop your fps temporarily.
Recently I spend more time fixing TSW3 than playing it. I found a useful setting for tearing: Turn off V-sync (TSW3) Turn on FastSync (NVIDIA control panel) Set Max FPS: 61~Unlimited (TSW3)
1% low doesn't add much even you are not moving. I think it's caused by passengers and dynamic weather. Observing the behavior of passengers, I became more and more annoyed. I wish there was an option: Let me turn off passengers. Don't force me to eat LOVE.
It is far better to have passengers that are robotic than have none at all. A passenger railway with no passengers is pointless, and would be a massive immersion killer. You'd miss them if they weren't there.
I remember someone said that passengers max is 200. Have you ever played Cities Skylines? It will crash in a few hours. Because of the large number of people and cars. Passengers will cause low FPS and stutter. That's why we won't have 1000 passengers. Do you think 200 passengers is a lot? For me, it's a massive immersion killer. If you like passengers, you can play Cities Skylines. You will have hundreds of thousands of people. Please add an option to let me turn off and let you turn on.
Honestly, not sure I would. Sure, they should probably be on the stations but not get on or off the trains, why? Having passengers get off at the first stop is immersive breaking if anything, having to close doors on infinite passengers getting off to stay on time is also immersion breaking. Speaking off closing the doors, if you close the doors too early and have to open again, you get a new "wave" of passengers getting on and off. But then again, I'm all for options.
Come on everyone, stop taking the bait. You are actually engaged in an argument about removing passengers from TSW. LOL
You can turn off trees, grass, and shadows, but can't turn off passengers. Trees, grass, and shadows must be in screenshot contest, and appear on your game loading screen. Have you ever seen passengers show up?
You can't turn off trees and grass. What is the point you're trying to make with your posts? We get that you dislike playing the game but why do you have to make multiple posts about how much you hate the game? Your arguments and evidence don't make any sense or straight up not true. Even if you're not good at English, your posts are for the most part really derogatory to the devs or the game or to us. Why all the aggression and verbal attacks? Might want to think about how what you write might affect you if someone said the same thing to you.
It seems to no stutter in your game? For me, the most important thing is smooth, smooth and smooth. (Just 60Hz.) I have been repairing this. Honestly, if I wasn't half a train fan, I wouldn't play this game. I'm getting less and less into this game, because of LOVEking stutter. You don't care, DTG don't care. There are millions of LOVE games every year. Is TSW one of them? I won't care. There are lots of train-themed LOVE games. Just take a look, you know they don't understand trains. Two months ago, I enjoyed reading everyone's guesses about the new route. I don't read now. DTG knows people only care new route, nobody cares old that I bought. If I didn't buy it, I didn't get hurt. It's popular that watch other people play games, you don't have to play them yourself. If you are good at English, watch DTG's stream, and don't play yourself, avoid bursting bubble.
I have a better suggestion: Increase the number of passengers, at least 1000 people, if your computer can run. Why can't players adjust the number of passengers? I guess PS4 has fewer passengers than pc.
Of course there are stutters in tsw. But you'll never be able to get rid of them. Even without passengers and dynamic weather, you still get stutters. There's also the assets, stations, trains, traffic, tile loading that will cause stutters. Feight routes where there's no passengers to begin with still had and still have stutters. Dynamic weather didn't increase stutters. The issue is some of your past posts have not been great posts. You had one post asking how many employees dtg has. Why is that soo important to you. You also asked about commercial practices of dtg. Again, why soo interested. And calling dtg lazy and breaking the game on purpose whether you mentioned it directly or not. And how you've reacted to certain forum members. You've also brought up the topic of removing passengers completely and them causing the performance issues several times already. You also asked a completely unrelated question in this post. What does a drunk driver have to do with 1% low fps. And what does city skylines have to do with anything. All this is making you lose your credibility and sound like you're just trolling.
The programming of this game is terrible, not UE4 only. You can find a lot of various complaints in forum. Lines too short, trains too few, wrong sound, wrong timetable... No one will force them to shut up, except me. I look like a beggar. Maybe you can call it a strategy that consumers save themselves. TSW3 is the most expensive game I have ever bought, and the original plan was to buy more. I think I should not play at least 3 months. This game makes me too angry. Thank you very much for your response. Maybe everything will be fine in TSW4.
I did, in fact. On NY-Trenton when I first got it, and they were invisible. People just need to look at the number of complaint threads on this very forum about passengers disembarking at the first stop and then never boarding, and it's obvious how immersion breaking this is. I've never had such an issue in that game, my game can run fine for an entire day, even in cities built using the entire map size. Have you checked your mods aren't messing it up?
With limited money, which one is the most important? Some things first, some second, some never be considered. For me: 1. Correct timetable. Don't drive like a madman and still delay. 2. Reasonable route length, not strange interrupt. 2. Full varieties of trains, complete not one or two. 4. Full AI train timetable. I heard it consumes a lot. I think there should be an option to decrease the number of AI trains to increase performance. ... And the most basic, no bargaining: 0. Smooth, no stutter. From before to now, excellent games have no stutter. If passengers are important, are trucks also important for US freight? I like houses in city. I won't ask too much because I know it's difficult. I think making smart passengers is more difficult than houses. DTG even can't make trains well. Does DTG want to meka army tanks, ships, planes, and space shuttle? It's easy to inference that you won't have good passengers like GTA5, RDR2. OpenTTD looks rough, but I play it sometimes. I don't play Cities Skylines now, because of ugly roads, idiot traffic. I know there are mods, but I'm too lazy to fix them. I don't play Railway Empire, Transport Fever more than 50 hours. And some rail games... The difference between the two types, and the key to successful & failure is... It's hard to explain with my poor English. A good core is better than a bunch of parts. (Generally speaking.) I think the cheapest way for TSW3: Add adjustment options. Let players decide. eg. Shadows on track. Someone want more. Someone turn off for FPS. Don't you want the longest shadow and 1000 passengers? Other games can be adjusted in detail, why don't DTG allow? Can DTG tell us how to adjust it in engine.ini?
It's hard to explain with my poor English. Why do I stop playing them? Some don't impress me. Some are bad product. TSW is becoming one of failed product. The reason I didn't buy more TSW3 DLCs, at least one, unreasonable length of the route. DTG has always made semi-finished products. Many S-Bahn are incomplete. It's much like the original demo, not like a mature product that's been out for years. There are 21 major stations in Germany. How do you drive ICE between major cities? As it currently stands, We will have 21 DLCs, not a complete route. My feeling is: You just buy 21 repeatedly, not 21 different ones. Will you continue to invest in DTG building long routes? It is likely that DTG will go bankrupt first. Then you have a bunch of crippled routes that cannot be connected. And they're probably all broken. eg. forever red signal. A lot of old games are like this. Maybe I should wait for TSW4 without those worries. I hope so. I just searched it, and attached it by the way. Steam Players 30-Day Avg.
