Would like to request the battle of hastings line from hastings to charing cross based in 1988 and using the 1988 timetable and using the BR 1066 4-CEP EMU stock for the route
When I started reading I thought it would be another boring modern southeast route but actually in this era it could be a great suggestion mate.
Probably being an old git again, but if any traction is synonymous with this route, got to be the Class 201/202/203 Hastings DEMU’s. Really nothing else will do!
I saw "1066" as the title on the suggestions page and being history-minded, I did wonder for a moment whether someone had requested the Battle of Hastings... but anyway. I have requested this route before, and I would take any era for it that used the Thumper, those 80s/ 90s slam-door trains (I don't know what they are called), and Electrostar. This is my local line and I am towards the Hastings end of it, and I have wanted to see it remade since 2017 when I started playing TSC. I know there is the Backdated RailSim addon for that, but it is full of bugs and not enjoyable to play. The most important thing I would like to see with this route is that it is 100% complete from Hastings to London Charing Cross. It is dispiriting to see a route in TSW that is incomplete or sees AI takeover towards the end of the line. The calling points in BOLD represent the fast route - Hastings - St Leonards Warrior Square - West St Leonards - Crowhurst - Battle - Robertsbridge - Etchingham - Stonegate - Wadhurst - Frant - Tunbridge Wells - High Brooms - Tonbridge - Hildenborough - Sevenoaks - Orpington - London Bridge - London Waterloo East - London Charing Cross Slow route duration: 1 hour 42 minutes (Southeastern source) Fast route duration: 1 hour 36 minutes (Southeastern source)
Bring it on and what you are missing are 4-VEP & 4-CIG as downloadable trains. From this railway forum some of the replies here mention a combined 4CEP 4CIG formation
It would be great to see it with the Hastings units but I certainly wouldn't object to a 411 in Jaffa Cake or NSE livery to be honest.
