Been looking to upgrade my gpu. I can get the 4070 ti 12gb for £599 or a ti super 16gb for £899. Just wondering what people's thoughts are on a xtra 300 quid for 4gb vram?
I have a 4070ti and it works really good on 4k... I dont see any advantage for a 16GB version. A higher VRAM is not always an upgrade. My advice is for TSW the 12GB version.
Thanks. I just tried to purchase the ti version and it's currently out of stock. Looked on some other vendors and the ti is £719. They offered the 4070 super (not ti) for £550 with a 20% drop in performance. Apparently it's 50% faster than my 3070. I have a 120hz 4k tv. Hoping to get a decent frame rate.
Its not that you buy a bad product in this price range.... This is a high end card and that different between TI or super will not make a big difference.
I have very recently bought a PC with an RTX 4060, I am very happy with the performance. Almost al games 60fps. With TSW some heavy areas 40-50fps. The Box (megekko.nl) What I got.
Thanks for the replies. I have been comparing cuda cores, clock speeds and memory bandwidths. I think I'll sleep on it and decide tomorrow. Thanks again.
12GB of VRAM should be enough for TSW but, you could also look at RX 7900 GRE or RX 7900 XT (both fit the price point of 599 and 899 pounds respectively) even just to see what's available on the AMD side. I just love my RX 6700 XT as it has zero issues running modern games and anything else (excluding Raytracing).
