Just tried the updated DB BR 146.2 on several routes and looks like we have an updated type of automatic destination board this time. The destination board becomes automatic like other new trains, but now we are able to manually select the destination again. In the gadget we can go through a list of all stations on the specific line, then set a desired one instead of the designated one. Looks like a mixture of the old system and the new one but still, big shoutout to Adam's team. However, I did find something: 1. In MSB, the new Dostos from HBK somehow shows "RB79AschaffenburgHb" (no space for the "f") while there's no route numbers on 146.2 or old Dostos. I wonder if this can be fixed like in HBK. 2. Like the original PIS system, there's no destination for stations out of the map. In SKA, we only have "Cologne Hbf" in the list instead of "Hamm(Westf) Hbf". So I guess every old route needs a new "list of stations" for the automatic destination boards to work correctly. In new routes like HMA we already have that so stations like Ulm are shown correctly. 3. In HBK, the coaches showed a different destination from the one on 146.2. Maybe a timetable error. Despite these issues, I'm glad that they really took the feedbacks (of the trains like Class 465 or DB BR 112) into consideration. Really appreciate this feature and I hope it can be applied to more trains in the future.
After some hours in MSB again, I really like the new destination board system now. In other trains the boards will go blank if you load a save, but this time we have an "Auto Set Destination" button to get it back. Hope they can add this feature to more trains, especially the trains that don't have a destination board now.
Unfortunately this removes the line numbers from the display as well. So no more RB 48 or RE 9, just plain destination. Again a step in the right direction, but still a long way to go.
But there are line numbers on the BR 112, and also the PIS in the stations. Don't know why it isn't added to MSB.
I agree, it is really nice we have a list of selections and can chose what we want, I hope this was intentional If it was, really good job, I hope that will be the way forward! When it comes to destinations, yes it seems likely that the route will need an update for that to work better. And while at it, "Cologne Hbf", DTG please, it is "Köln Hbf"
Maybe we will need a full list of stations (obviously in the correct language) for each route. I guess it can be used by all trains with automatic destination boards and the PIS system. For example, in SKA we need destinations for ICE trains, RE1, RE9 and S-Bahn services.
Bit lost? For some reason it defaulted to Nicht Ensteigen but changed it, it had a wide variety of destinations for the North Kent and Chatham Main Lines, plus domestic HS1, so it seems it has a full list for some routes, but not for others (I think someone mentioned it doesn't have destinations off map for SKA?). Also, oddly, when I selected the 146.2 with 6 coaches, it loaded up a 143.
Yeah I noticed that as well. I like this solution! Automatic PIS + if you want, change it by yourself. That's a move in the right direction!
Maybe in the game's code Köln Hbf is known as Cologne Hbf and the Game just thinks that that's what it should be on the Destination Display.
