A suggestion for the post resignalling stretch of London commuter line. BR blue slam door EMUs and some DEMUs following all 3 lines from Dartford up to London.

    via sidcup
    Via bexleyheath
    Via woolwich

none of the lines themselves are longer than 18 miles but throw in the old chord from Charing x to cannon st and the depots at hither green and slade green and you have huge numbers of services running a number of diagrams with a limited number of locos. Throw in a couple of br blue 33s and you have the ballast trains from hoo (off map) and lewisham.

I'd expect the slam door EMU's to make an appearance on the BML, so would hope that a good old fashioned Network South-east route pre 1994 is some where in the pipeline.
