INTRODUCTION Today I'll be suggesting a route operated by the London underground owned by TFL this route would be over 1 hour and 5 minutes long and would have over 20 miles of track and would also serve 32 stations in total. The Route -This route is 20 miles long -This route has 32 stations in total -This route is 1 hour and 5 minutes long ROLLING STOCK 1992 STOCK The 1992 stock manufactured by BREL/ABB from 1991-1994 a 85 of these 8 car units were built and 85 remain in service the maximum speed of this train is 62 mph (100 km/h) and the saftey systems implemented are ATO and ATP. -Ealing Broadway -West Acton -North Acton -East Acton -White City -Shepherd's Bush -Holland Park -Notting Hill Gate -Queensway -Lancaster Gate -Marble Arch -Bond Street -Oxford Circus -Tottenham Court Road -Holborn -Chancery Lane -St. Paul's -Bank -Liverpool Street -Bethnal Green -Mile End -Stratford -Leyton -Leytonstone -Snaresbrook -South Woodford -Woodford -Buckhurst Hill -Loughton -Debden -Theydon Bois -Epping AI -AI 166 at Ealing Broadway -AI 43 at Ealing Broadway SCENARIOS -Central line delays Operate this Central line from Epping to Ealing Broadway expect traffic down the line -Busy days on the Central line Drive this Central line from Ealing Broadway to Epping expect traffic down the line as it is busier than usual -Winter evenings Drive this Central line from Epping to Ealing Broadway there are minor delays due to the snow -A rainy day on the Central line Drive this Central line from Ealing Broadway there are minor delays due to the rain DEPOTS -White City depot -Ruislip depot CONCLUSION This would be a good London underground route with very frequent trains anyway thanks for reading this suggestion hope you like it feel free to comment on what you think.
I have been inactive of the forums and the game for a while but for this being the first thing I have seen in ages I am very happy to agree and I would love for this to come into the game, another LU route would be lovely and this would be perfect! But just a pointer, if this would be set for nowadays then the 43 at Ealing Broadway wouldn't really work, and ATO cold be considered as a new feature for the game. But This is a really good suggestion
Agreed, if this route comes with ATO, this route would turn boring really quickly which is why it has been suggested in manual
Great suggestion, I like the amount of detail you put into these suggestions, I would like to see another LU line in the game in the future, whether it is this or the Metropolitan Line, I don't care which comes first
Good call. This route would then give us the correct AI for Ealing Broadway LU traffic which currently uses BKL 72 stock, which although better than nothing, is not correct.
Yes although coded manual is used for that dtg could still use it or base the route in 1993 when ATO wasn't a problem and was manually operated or just make it manual only operated
I just like the thought as ATO being a cool feature tbh, and if it is ever to be added I always say I want them to add both ATO and manual driving since if you want you can do both, but I do agree it would be very boring if it was just only ATO operated
London Underground is not owned by TfL Rail. TfL Rail was what is now the Elizabeth Line on the GEML and GWML.
Seeing all these ATO routes makes me worried some day every route will have ATO and drivers will be made redundant.
Yea but at least London Overground will be manually operated same with mainline trains even though ATO is good for train frequency it is nice to see the London underground manually operated
I'd welcome the Central Line, but would want the whole line to West Ruislip and including the Hainault loop. Could also make it an historic route with the old 1962 Stock and the Epping to Ongar branch line added.
Why not make a scenario where you have to run it like manual basically this is the train Sim World version of Glasgow Subway where you have a scenario that requires manual operation. Excellent idea overall and for manual operation you have to be in coded manual since restricted manual mode the train cannot exceed 10 mph 16 kmh
Is there a reason that the line to West Ruislip and the Hainault Loop have not been included on the list of stations
+10 on this. Fond memories of travelling out to Ongar on a pub crawl in the early 80’s. The only time I was ever issued a paper ticket at a London Underground booking office! Not so fond the long journey back into central London, the unfortunate side effect of pub crawls being the need to visit the loo at frequent intervals once the beer runs through. The 1962 stock was quite iconic and IMHO would make for a much better driving experience than more modern trains with ATO.
The 1962 Stock still runs today forming the Central Line's Rail Adhesion Train, so hopefully if this was made an accurate sound set would be depicted.
If the setting was instead before 1994 (When the Ongar branch closed) you would have a longer line and a train without ATO. You would also still have the same rest of the line.
The line is spectacular. The route makes this one of the best Underground lines and it would be amazing in a train game. I so not understand why they cannot add the London Underground routes from Train Simulator
Because they don't just recreate routes from TSC in TSW. If they did, then most routes that have appeared in Train Simulator would be here already.
The Central Line terminates at the following destinations everyday: Hainault, Epping, Loughton, Newbury Park, Woodford, North Acton, White City, Ealing Broadway, Northolt, Ruislip Gardens. They occasionally terminate at Leytonstone, Liverpool Street and Marble Arch. This would be a perfect route as we need to preserve the 1992 stock and the route offers such great variation
Hmmmmm..... I'd like to do the Central with '62 stock and with the boxes open. I think I have enough information to hand and behind me to do almost any day from 14th December 1947 to 17th February 1995. Especially White City. Much as I'd really like to do it, I'm not sure a vintage tube route would sell, even with all the signalling/WTT/TTN information I have that could get it right.
I would rather have the modern day Central Line. They could always put the previous trains as an add on for the route
By the way, trains from Epping typically terminate at West Ruislip during the day and trains from Hainault terminate at Ealing Broadway westbound. During peak times, the destination of the trains vary. The line is incredible and also offers a shuttle service and would offer such incredible variation
Will it be possible to create this route in the game? It is incredible and offers such great variation
I would rather that it gets set in the modern time. I am desperate for another London Underground route to feature in this train game. The District and Central line would be the best in this game
I wanted to repost on this forums thread to discuss the depots. The depots include Hainault, White City and Ruislip depot. It would compliment the GWE at Ealing Broadway aswell. I hope this thread gains views as it has been written really well and I want others to have an insight on the Central line.
I am assuming that they would only do Hainault to Ealing Broadway but that would be most certainly fine by me as it still covers a large amount of stations and distance. Having the full route would be incredible.
That would also make it easier to create the Eliza line if they ever had plans to do so. It alls has a positive domino effect
I also post on routes that have areas which are relatively popular or that are quite close to me. I only post on routes that are in London. My favourite network is the TFL network so that is why I mainly choose to post on them
The Central line is 46 miles long including all the branches. We would need all the branches in TSW4 as the destinations vary.
A 1993-1995 version would be excellent as that's when the 1962 and 1992 stock shared services and long before ATO was introduced. Would be nice to have a choice of timetables, one before 92 stock was introduced, a transition timetable and a post 1995 one with just the new stock.
I would particularly enjoy the post 1995 route. I personally would love it with ATO but I understand why people may disagree.
Maybe if there was the choice of driving manually or ATO it would appease everybody. I sometimes just enjoy the feeling of traveling as I'm stuck at home due to a disability, so I often sit up front in the "secondman's seat", sometimes for familiarisation when I get a new route, sometimes just because it's therapeutic.
That is not easy to announce. I also really enjoy the route visuals sometimes. I prefer the driving experience but I think a route like the Central line would be incredible for that particular concept aswell. I am sorry to hear that you spend the majority of your time at home and I hope that you keep entertained through simulation games. Let me know if there is anything you would like me to help with or something we could discuss.
I am hoping that our dream simulation game route comes true in the nearby future. We have got a roadmpa coming soon which I am really excited about. It feels like we have been waiting for years but that is probably my excitement getting the better of me. I am hoping that we receive and incredible London route.
It is am incredible announcement. It would be sad when they replace the iconic announcements when they introduce the refurbished stock.
That's very kind of you. When it happened I decided to dedicate my spare time to setting-up a database for post-steam traction, a web-based version of the old ABC guides but with much more information. I'm 3 years in and have years of work ahead of me but I needed a long-term focus and I'm really enjoying learning all about the railway's recent history in the process.
