BR 146 regular IC reversed directions first at Magdeburg and then at Halle (Saale), but even more interesting, the return IC was thru Dessau to Magdeburg, NOT Halle. Look at the Braunschweig to Leipzig area and see the remarkable Schienennetz. Also, did all y'all do S-Bahn to Heidelberg from Mannheim in TSW6, or did you not ? Oh ... Back in Canada after 20 days on German rail, I was in TSW6 virtual Leipzig Hbf for service to Dresden, but the access to S-Bahn was MISSING !! Not to mention the big green S signs spread across the immense station. Everywhere in Leipzig Hbf you have a reminder of the many S-Bahn trains that will pass thru Leipziger Markt, one (1) station away in the heart of Bach's old Leipzig with its gorgeous open air escalator up from below ( elevator nearby is enclosed ) and where passages go thru buildings and new architecture in green glass favours the Altstadt instead of intruding. And Starbucks was empty, while Germans were in Gaststätte and Konditorei and Bäckstube and Café. Too funny ! Braunschweig is missing, so these IC and ICE are missing, but look today at DB 2926 ICE plan for cities with ICE on the half-hour. And best wishes to first woman to lead DB, Palla, formerly Regio chief and in the past proven as a leader at ÖBB. When will we get Hannover to Braunschweig over Peine ? From the Editor community ? And the bright yellow Bahn repair units pulled by BR 203 and other. REALLY old lok hauling freight ! And the IC BR 146 lok noses are SO dirty ! Arrived late, so not given a wipe ? ;-) Und viele Gespräche mit DB IC Schaffner und Schaffnerrin.
