Hi all... I have the Steam version of the NSE Class 205... Can I use this patch to upgrade the headcode box: https://alanthomsonsim.com/downloads/class-205-br-font-headcode-blinds-hd/ Thanks in advance Eric
It should work - the download off Steam should be in and *.ap format so if you have nay problems delete the upgrade and the default files take over
I've upgraded the headcodes on the MKS 73, (NSE) 205 & (NSE) 415 but rather foolishly forgot to take a "before" photo of each one... If anyone has the above stock that has the normal unmodified headcodes (and are willing) could you please set the headcode to a number of your choice & post a reasonably close up front end picture on here please so I can compare the difference that it may / may not have made... Thanks in advance... Eric
I've never touched the MKS 73, so here's a shot of its headcode. I've no idea why Freddy Mercury is driving this 73 though.
Cheers Pooky... Here's my offering with a young Jimmy Somerville driving albeit without the ginger hair!!!
I think it's on the MKS 73, which starts with red blinds, you switch on the lights and it automatically transforms into random numbers. Not sure how you'd change the numbers, though
If you have a loco or unit which can display a headcode you can change it in the Scenario Editor I have just placed a DTG loco and I Double Click on it and the box on the right pops up In the box is 7311020 - loco number and route code and you can change the number to what you want So I changed it to 7345673 The DTG loco does not seem to like Letters in the Route Code And the same applies to the MKS 73 Peter
Dunno 'bout random headcodes, every time I drive the MKS 73 it always puts "20" on the front (which is the headcode for the Gatwick Express)... Thinking about it, maybe it's because it was bundled with the 460...???
That is the way the nnnnn/rr (Number/route) is designed - it has to be something so they chose 20 In any scenario it takes a couple of mins to Pause Scenario > World Editor > Scenario Editor then double click on the loco and change it to something you want
inversnecky + ntypeman how do you get the MKS 73 moving on Diesel? I have the engine running and it works ok on Electric - I push Ctrl+A to switch traction but nothing happens when I open the Diesel throttle Got me stumped
Peter... Have you turned on the AWS isolation switch??? That ALWAYS throws me on the 73 for some reason... Eric
I’m not at the PC just now, Peter, so can’t check first hand, but I’ve a feeling the answer is that by default the diesel engine is off, so you have to press start / Z key. Turn up your volume and you’ll hear if it’s running or not. If still no joy, let me know and I’ll try it later.
Normally the loco is on Electric and after doing the AWS and other stuff it moves ok Go to Diesel and I can start the engine, apart from the noise there is smoke coming from roof When I do Ctrl+A it shows on Diesel Control and the lower power handle moves - but the loco does not Ctrl+A is back to Electric and I'm away
I just tried, Peter. By default, no diesel engine running. So after master key, AWS, I needed to press engine start (or press Z), to start the engine. It takes a few seconds to get going. Then it drives ok I think you have to give it a second or move the throttle to at least “20-30%”, maybe?
Sounds silly, but you're aware that the throttle is the other way around from when it's in diesel? In electric, it's D for notch up, A for down... In diesel, it's the other way around, A for throttle up, and D for down, like most trains.
Pooky... That's on the DTG 73... The MKS 73 has a normal throttle but must be switched from electric to diesel & vice versa...
