So, is there any chance of the DSD bug on the 313 being sorted one way or the other? When it was first noted upon release we were told it was an easy fix, and personally I'm still waiting for that "easy fix". In case anyone has forgotten, it's silent when it triggers and can be easily missed especially when the HUD is switched off l.
They haven't talked about it for a long time so I doubt it will be fixed soon. There's a huge list of other things to fix too that probably are higher priority
The Southern class 313 doesn’t have a DSD alarm in real life so shouldn’t even be there in the first place
If that's the case it makes sense why they haven't fixed it. But it doesn't explain why it hasn't been removed.
Indeed. The Class 313 has a DSD but not a vigilance. Vigilance is the alarm that sounds every 30 seconds, but DSD is the pedal on the floor that will apply the emergency brakes if the driver does not keep it pressed. Often, the DSD and Vigilance are combined into one pedal.
