so i tried coupling with 2 377/2 on brighton mainline, but then it just doesnt move. I also later tried a 377/4 and another /4 together, couple them up and for some reason they wont move after i manually couple them. Dont they usually be able to move after they automatically couple?

    Anybody please help.

Silly question, did you take out the master key in the cab you connected?
I tried coupling and for me it is working fine.

Tell me step by step what you do to couple the units

I dunno know but the issue seems to have fixed by itself where the brakes were locked on or just that the train wasnt gaining any traction. Apparently when you spawn in the 377/2 it is automatically set to be still in AC setting. I have to put them down to DC first then goes 2 ways.
Either I make the other (2) unit(s) all to be set in dc first before coupling all of them or just couple the one your on to the other, then go to the other unit after coupling to make it dc so now all of your 377/2s within that 377 consist is now on DC mode.

Why could DTG make this like the 700 where it detects rather or not is it on overhead wires or 3rd rail dc???
