Anyone encountered this issue? Was doing a RE run from Aachen towards Koln with a pair of 442’s. Reloaded my save after leaving it a couple of days, now find after closing the doors I can’t get power. Have tried the usual, cycle everything on and off, drop then raise the pantograph and MCB but still no joy. Have yet to try the physics reset which I guess is the last resort. Can’t recall this issue prior to TSW5. Edit: Well hitting the "Reset Physics" did not clear the problem. Run is borked.
I tried one of the RE services, I saved, Exited, and restarted the game again, and all was working. I even fussed with the Tempomat, slammed it into emergency braking, put the parking brake on, and put it into full throttle. I am out of ideas to break it. This is after saving, exiting, and restarting. I even checked the Battery, all okay. At first, I thought it may have been because the Panogrpah was missing as it has been for so long, I still have the mod installed in TSW4, and I even installed it to TSW5 "Clearly I missed the Message" DTG actually finally fixed it. I was using this mod that has since been removed since it's not needed anymore Spoiler
Very odd, then. Could start the run again, save at the same location and not get the issue. Only mod I’m running is God along with the basic environment. Funny you mention the pantograph as when I was looking around the train I noticed on both sets it wasn’t quite touching the overhead wire, though would imagine that’s a cosmetic thing and shouldn’t stop the train moving.
At least you were able to get moving on down the road sort of speaking, no it should not, now that you mention that gap with the pantograph and the wire, could this be an intermittent issue, I know it's not the real thing, a little coding here there it can be made to work but it does have me wondering. Just crazy ole coot thinking I noticed that also, I guess they were in a hurry to fix it so they could get #5 out the door, I to have had odd issues with a few scenarios, mainly the control interface like the one handled wonders, where the throttle/brake does not want to behave.
Oh okay, I misunderstood, that is a pain in the Bumm, I need to get into TSC more, it's been sitting idle Oh, I don't math good :\
Spikee is referring to the Feigenbaum constant - check out 'chaos theory' or 'fractals'. But beware - it will take you down the rabbithole (mathematicians will get the meaning)!
