I was hoping to use it in service mode. But I guess that won’t happen anytime soon. Well the 483 doesn’t do that. The only thing about the 483 it completely stand still it won’t move in WCML. Well there goes the neighborhood.
The island line pre 2021 was 660v dc so the 484 being 750v dc shouldn't work on it. Although it works on the updated island line that is indeed 750v. Watford dc line again used to be 660v until the 710 was introduced that couldn't run on 660v so the line was converted to 750v. Bakerloo line trains was converted to run on 750v. Although on tsw I'm guessing rather than covert the Bakerloo line trains to run on 750v rivet just set the line voltage to 660v on the dc lines on wcml! This is why I can't seem to get any 750v train to work on the dc lines on wcml. I reported this to dtg ages ago, I'm guessing this is one of those bugs that's never gonna get a fix!
Very interesting insight into the electrification. I always thought the Underground was 630V In game, DTG admit that they basically copied the TSW2 Bakerloo Line route over to the West Coast Mainline route and updated the lighting. It is likely that the voltage on the original Bakerloo Line DLC was set to 660V, since no London Overground DLCs existed back then. I'm not sure how they got the 710 to work. They said it was difficult to get it to run on the Bakerloo Line...
