Ordered my G9 49 inch monitor! Computer is being all updated, ram 64gb/i7 etc etc Any way to play TSim in wide screen? Anything special, or does the game support this? Thanks!!!!!
I've no idea, but I suppose it will be able to use whatever your desktop resolution is. I can only imagine it will look pretty horrible at the edges though.. all distorted like you're using a letterbox aspect on a fish eye lens. I've noticed this with some older games on wide aspect screens. See what I mean here.... Go to 6 minutes 30 seconds. You may get lucky though, but being an old direct x 9 game... (shrug). You'll just have to wait and see. TS2021 will certainly will not support HDR. LOL
I play on a 34" ultrawide and TS natively supports my resolution (2560x1080) in fact TS will support any resolution you throw at it, I've used DSR off and on for the last year and it's shown every resolution I've added in Nvidia control panel each time. One negative of widescreens though is the horizontal fisheye effect where the outermost sides of the screen stretch the on-screen image, tbh I barely notice it even though it's quite obvious if you pan left and right and focus on an object as it will grow larger the nearer the edge of the screen it gets (beautifully illustrated in this image), but your main focus is always naturally the centre of the screen and honestly doesn't affect your experience at all (imo at least).
Would love to see some pictures of TS on a widescreen monitor if possible. I’m thinking of a new monitor but unsure if widescreen would work, especially in a narrow cab like the 350
I'm not really one for taking screenshots, I do take the occasional one if I happen to think of it but then I invariably miss an AWS or DSD warning and more often than not delete the screenshot because I'm not happy with it anyway.
