Edit: the following applies to 9th gen consoles only. PS5 and Xbox Series X Right now there's an option on 9th gen console which changes the internal rendering resolution between what appears to be 4K and 1080p. This is great as it allows users who don't mind a slightly blurrier image and lower internal resolution, to take advantage of the increased performance overhead of the HD rendering option, this allows for more consistent performing experience. It would be nice to see a third Fidelity based option, that takes advantage of the increased performance overhead of the 1080p resolution to push the graphical Fidelity even higher. This would allow users the option of using that additional performance overhead of the HD mode for a higher graphical Fidelity experience instead of higher frame rates. This would in theory give users who selected this option performance that's similar to the 4K option but they'd be sacrificing the resolution bump in favor of higher graphical settings at a 1080p resolution. More and more with this generation of consoles we're seeing options like this become the norm, a selling point for TSW has always been it's graphical fidelity, and I think although the team has found a perfect balance between resolution and performance/graphical Fidelity in both modes, that having a third mode that takes advantage of the lower 1080p resolution will increasing the graphical Fidelity even further on the newest range of consoles would not only provide another option for users to customize their experience but may even add an additional selling point as well. Thanks for hearing me out!
