I think the 59 stock was mainly on the Northern Line and tended to be in silver livery not red. Central Line had the very similar 62 stock as, I think, did the Piccadilly. Either type would be great in TSW properly done and I personally feel the Northern Line with its several branches and two routes through Central London would be the absolute best choice for another tube route.
59 was new to the Picc and later moved to the Northern (I think the original plan was for 72 stock, but at the time the 59 stock was only about 12 years old so it moved over when the 73 stock arrived for the start of service to Heathrow) 62 was exclusive to the Central, and was plan B - plan A was the 1960 stock which was more modern (a precursor to the 67/72 design) being tested, but with the 1930ish standard stock failing left right and centre they couldn't wait - so 62 stock happened. The Central is brutal on trains, with several long sections of high speed running and a very intensive service. I believe the 1992 stock for all it's faults is about to become the longest lived stock on the line
