I've been trying to complete the Southeastern Speed Journey, but am unable to complete the chapter Route 66. This is due to the fact that 6Y08 doesn't spawn you on the train, but instead spawns you at a random station/depot on the route. This is an issue in both TSW3 and TSW4.
Can confirm this issue as well for PS4. The only way to solve it, is spawn on foot at departure station Dartford few minutes (13:15) before when the service begin, once the train arrives at station, climb aboard and take the driver seat, be sure to accept service 6Y08 part 1
I don’t get spawned in the train either as the train hasn’t arrived at its starting point when starting the service using journey mode so the game just spawns you anywhere. However, you can let the AI drive the train and complete the service for you. I kept restarting until I got spawned at dartford and then hopped in the second man’s seat and let the game take the strain! You end up with a bronze medal so will have to use the method above to get the gold but it will give you a green tick on the journey mode. We shouldn’t have to do this but is a work around to get the journey mode complete. I’m on Xbox X and playing TSW4.
I've just run into this. It kind of blows my mind how massive a blunder this is! Thank you very much Gianluca for the workaround. EDIT: the workaround doesn't seem to work on PC, as the grain train doesn't spawn or drive into Dartford station. So this is the third route on which I can't complete a scenario, after Boston and New-York. If it weren't the entire Western world that's coming crumbling down I'd start taking offense! EDIT2: I managed to play it and get gold by spawning at Dartford, entering the train and sitting down in the driver's seat in place of the AI driver. This failed the first time I tried it (with error message "You don't have authorization to take over this service", then "this train is going too fast for you to take over this service" - I guess is needed to be done as soon as possible), but I gave it another try out of despair and I pulled it off. The brakes needed to be cut in using the management computer thingy, which is pretty straightforward. 6Y08 scen 1 by The Training Center Goat posted Jan 22, 2024 at 12:32 AM 6Y08 scen 2 by The Training Center Goat posted Jan 22, 2024 at 12:33 AM 6Y08 scen. 3 by The Training Center Goat posted Jan 22, 2024 at 12:33 AM
