While most DVD, SIFA, AWS, and PZB devices can be isolated in TSC, some cannot, and tonight after fighting the DVD device in the Class 395 which I cannot hear in external view, I got to thinking about these confounded devices which I loath and I think I've come up with a better use for them...on politicians! To be applied equally to all members of every party, a buzzer would be placed in the seat of their pants to be used in a couple of instances. First, a DVD style device with a light on their desk/table in front of them while they are in parliament/congress. Every 60 seconds the light turns on which they must push within 8 seconds to prove they are not sleeping or otherwise not paying attention. If they don't push the light, the buzzer goes off in the seat of their pants to wake them up or get them to refocus on the proceedings at hand...lol And secondly, a decibel meter would be placed in front of their desk position to monitor the volume of their voice. If they start shouting too loudly the buzzer goes off in the seat of their pants to remind them to keep the volume of their voice at a polite speaking level...lol I'm sure we would see a dramatic improvement in the performance of all politicians with these devices in place!
