I've played through most of the Journey mode of IoW and thought I'd share some weird things I found. Nothing major, nothing gamebreaking, just weird things that gnaw at that fragile thing called immersion. First thing I noticed since there's only two trains running (meeting my fellow driver is always a highlight of any single run) is that the AI train for some reason likes to run completely dark. (I'll add a screenshot of it) No headlight, no passenger light. Usually headlights are mandatory even during the day for safety reasons. Weirdly, also no destination on the front. I've had instances where the lights seem to be on, but I couldn't find out why that is, most of the time they're dark. Maybe something to do with Journey mode vs timetable mode. Second thing is also to with lights. When i pressed 8 to go have a flyaround to grab some screenshots of said dark trains, I noticed when I put enough distance between my flying self and my driver self, when I teleport back pressing 1 my whole train has gone dark also. I tried this many times and it always does this. Have to switch headlights, instrument lights and passenger lights back on. I'm not sure if this is unique to IoW but I've never noticed it anywhere else. Third thing has to do with passengers. Isle of Wight doesn't get a lot of action, two trains keep going back and forth so I figured it makes sense that as some passengers get on my train the others will keep standing at stations must be waiting for that other AI train. Well, I drove that very last service from Shanklin to Ryde Pier Head and lo and behold, at Lake Station, some passengers get on the train and then a bunch will show up and stand there, kinda weird. Will they wait until the first morning train? I kinda suspect TSW doesn't want to have totally empty platforms, as usually many trains going to many locations will stop at stations but on the IoW it looks really strange. Another thing to mention is that it is a welcome sight that passengers now exit the train when you reach your terminus. I get it, that on other routes the route may be ending for our dear player but in reality it goes on for quite a bit longer so it would make sense for people to stay on the train. It used to annoy me to no end when you reach the definitive terminus and people would stay on, but it seems to be fixed now. A small thing to mention, sometimes passengers leave the train by their own power, other times, especially at Shanklin, they seem to teleport away. Where? God knows. But at least the train is empty. Although, there is that AI train sitting at a siding after his schedule has ended. Full of passengers. Why they decided to stay on that train I wouldn't dare to ask. Definitely creepy when you see it. So there it is. Dark trains and strange passengers. It's highly unlikely that Rivet would come back to fix these small things (if they're fixable at all, the dark train problem perhaps) but having played this route countless times now I kinda wanted to make a record of my experience. There's probably lots of other small things I haven't noticed so if anyone wants to add something, go right ahead. PS! I also have to mention, immersive or not, this little route is short and sweet and I would definitely recommend giving it a go if you're short on time and don't want to mess about with german safety systems Godspeed
