You have to provide more detail. They are just pictures to me. What do they do/services? Where do they run? Why are they so special?
I would also add Vectron 230, Taurus 1016 and 1116... also 4744/4746/4746 as those are basically the faces of regional rail in Austria along with 4024/4124 (Desiro ML aka CityJet is actually my fav train - so freakishly fast and looks so nice)... RailJet/NightJet would also be nice but that one is a consist... so if I could put in some consists... Taurus plus Wiesel dostos / Taurus and modernized Wiesel dostos in CityJet livery (modernized dostos have different seating layout as well as a "seat" near the stairs window)... also Taurus + 1 dosto + 3 CityShuttle + 1 Wiesel dosto control car... basically Taurus passenger consists dammit nice to see Herbert in your list tho 5047 and 5022, those would be nice on some really like regional branch line... like Aspangbahn also, 4020 dude - the former S-Bahn king before Desiro MLs and Talent 1s arrived and Herkules aka OBB 2016 - kind of diesel bro of Taurus, although with vmax "only" 140 km/h... does diesel passenger services as well as some decent freight (I once saw it hauling a LOT of tanker wagons towards oil refinery somewhere in South Vienna, east bank of Danube I think, near Lobau (cannot remember the name of the place tho) nice to see another OBB fanboy here lol
Aspangbahn is very interesting route IRL - once supposed to be a great railway from Vienna to Thessalloniki, but war and other things got in the way, so it only got built up to Aspang... if you want to travel it IRL, you cant buy it as a single ticket, which is super-weird... first you have to get a ticket for Wien Hbf - Traiskirchen Aspangbahn (5047), then Traiskirchen Aspangbahn - Wiener Neustadt Hbf (5047) and THEN Wiener Neustadt Hbf - Aspang Markt (5022)... and the way you ACTUALLY travel is that you take the first train to Traiskirchen (it is fairly fast, vmax 120 km/h), THERE you have to disembark one 5047, walk a couple meters to the 5047 on the other track, that goes to Wiener Neustadt Hbf (joins the mainline somewhere near Sollenau) and THERE you disembark again... and board 5022 on a different platform this would actually be pretty cool in game
You are missing the other locomotives 1012 1014 Shunters 1163 1063 1064. Regarding the electric shunters only 1163 & 1064 are Hump Yard Rated. Since 1163 is used at Vbf Salzburg Gnigl 1064 Villach Süd Wien Kledering.
Oh yea ty i forgot those xD those are great too a few day ago i saw a 1163 with the lightning design hauling in Liezen xD
thank you for telling me about that. In the Salzburg area 1163 is used inside the hump yard and the Central Station
Quite like some of these older locomotives. Too much modern plastic stuff in TSW currently. Would certainly buy these older locos as loco-DLC.
Honestly, a 1216, ÖBB Railjet or Nightjet I would love in the game. Always was a fan of those. I do not know if I'd be driving the older locomotives though, old just ain't my type lol. Anyways, we can only hope for the best
on Saturday as the train I was in was arriving to Hbf, at the local yard I saw Vectron, new NightJet coaches and Vectron-style cab so cool also those Vectrons 230 keep popping up - geared towards Rail/Night/ComfortJets Rail/Night/ComfortJets are supercool, but they need to be done right - not just Taurus/Vectron, but also control cab, maybe even multitraction (longer RailJets tend to have more than one Taurus attached)... and also proper track to utilize it - Sifa, PZB, LZB, and possibly ETCS (but a new iteration, as the one in Luzern Sursee is broken AF)... I mean, Austria loves its multiple units, but RailJet is one of few highspeed trains thats actually push/pull by design (ICE-L / BR 101s are kinda exception), and it is also Austria's flagship thing... and new gen of both RailJet and NightJet look even nicer and more sleek
See, I never understood why DTG doesn't fit ETCS on trains that could have ETCS... it's about time though. I do agree with you, I want it to be made right, it holds a special place in my heart and I'd hate it to be ruined by sloppy development. If they do do it right... you can bet I'll be driving it across Austria and Germany in Freemode
If you look at some German routes like Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen Hannover Würzburg Hauptstrecke München Augsburg these see ÖBB Nightjet Railjet services. In the case of KWG SFS Hannover Würzburg it's the new nightjet to Hamburg Hbf from Innsbruck/Wien Hbf 01:48 Würzburg Hbf from Kassel Wilhelmshöhe . Link is in the German language. For the new nightjet tutorial must tell the player to activate both Loco and Cab car Automatischefahr und Bremssteuerung AFB because it's supposed to be driven that way
I know hardly anything about Austrian rolling stock, BUT i do know the 1020 "Krokodil" very well. That thing would be a day 1 purchase if it dropped as a loco DLC. The 2143 looks like a DB BR219 "U-Boot" that's been on a diet.
the new gen of those and NightJets has Vectron as main loco and special Vectron shaped control cab as well... cool AF
Wow, didn't know that the Railjet also has a cab car variant. I prefer cab cars a bit over locos. Would be cool if could also have a cab car variant of the Railjet, when it comes to TSW. A shame that we didn't get a cab car (passenger) version of the Vectron with the DLC then. Looks super cool. Would prefer that.
maybe thats cos it is like super recent... only like a couple weeks ago have the first units been delivered to ČD and OBB, along with latest version of Vectron aka Vectron 230, an updated and improved version capable of 230 km/h (classic Vectron usually has vmax 200 km/h)
