Hello everyone, today im making a Suggestion for a great Route in the east of Germany. This Routes would finally bring more Life in the rathe empty east Germany and offer some unique gameplay with the new Rolling Stock. The Route: The Route will take us from the beautiful City of Magdeburg all the way to Potsdam near Berlin. Details about the Route: Opening of the Magdeburg-Potsdam part: 1838 Length: 116,0 Km long Top Speed: 160 Kph Stations along the Route: 17 Equiped with: PZB Signal Systems: KS, HL The Routes runs mostly through Fields or Forrests. The included Rolling Stock: Now for the much more interesting part of this Suggestion. The Desiro High Capacity: About the Train: The Siemens Desiro High Capacity is a emu made by Siemens Mobility. Operator: ODEG (Ostdeutsche Eisenbahn Gmbh) Top Speed: 160 Kph Configuration: 4 or 6 car variants Length: 105 or 157 meters Safety Systems: PZB, SIFA (ready for ETCS) What makes this Desiro HC so unique is the Doors. The Train was ordered with Special Middle cars that allow for 1 Door to always be at the same height as the Plattform. The A Door is set at 55cm and the B Door is set at 76cm. This allows Passengers with reduced mobility to enter the Train without any issues. The Door height is selected in the Drivers Cab and will lock doors at certain Plattform Heights. In Conclusion: So why this Route and Train. - Finally another Route set in east Germany - A modern EMU with unique features - A good mix of Hl and Ks Signals I hope you liked my Suggestion and i would love to see the Route in the Game one Day.
It would be a bit strange not being able to run into Berlin, given that would probably be the most interesting part of the route. It would be like lopping off the Woking to Waterloo section if the Portsmouth Direct line was ever made.
I picked this bit of the Route with performance in mind. I would also love to see Berlin in TSW but with TSW 5 that just doesnt feel possible right now. If TSW 6 is way better in terms of perfomance than 5 i would make the route run until atleast Berlin Ostbahnhof. But right now its already at 116 Km's so....
Yea that's totally understandable. TSW6 will apparently be more optimised so hopefully Berlin might not be out of the question.
There needs to be something very interessting on this route. Shure the Desiro HC is an interesting train, but there are plenty of other possible routes for this train. You'll be mostly just driving with 160km/h along a straight route with either forest or acriculture along the track. That's becoming boring rather quickly.
