Hmmmmm..... Its showing here, I wouldn't have posted unless it showed.... Here's a link to the flicker image: https://www.flickr.com/photos/24555083@N08/2898891077
OK. What it looks like on my end. I'd prefer a more modern Riviera Line though, but that's a matter of taste of course. Same era as the TS20xx version would be nice, a good mix of older and more recent designs of trains. Pacers, Sprinters, HSTs, Networkers, Voyagers...
A 70's one would be great. Personally I want to see a recreation of Riviera in the 50's. I wouldn't say no to a modern version although the route has lost a lot of its magic today.
To be honest, its fair to bring out all the new dlc and I appreciate that its difficult to please everyone, but with the 33, and 52 I was hoping that for my 12 quid each there might have at some point be a use for them again. Having exhausted their usage pretty quickly on WSR it would've been nice to see some mainline action....
Anyway, the Riviera in any way, shape, form and era whatsoever has been suggested a few dozen times minimum by now, so... yeah. 33/52 is a good point, maybe we can run them on railtour services. I have the feeling though, should the Riviera Line ever come, DTG will "forget" to make these locos compatible...
Plus the 31, 45 and 47 would be suitable. You would ideally want a new DMU. Although the 101 was in that area there were only a handful on the western region then based at Laira, Bath Road and Canton. At least one out of class 118, 119, or 120 with maybe a class 122 would be ideal.
Yes I have bored myself suggesting it! I did wonder if the new release would have been a modern setting of it. I can't believe it won't appear at some point
Yes a 70s route would be fine as paulgregs said plenty of diesels around then,so if they did a westcountry route class 37,47,33,52,45,25 and more have been used in the westcountry good idea.
