So, I noticed how soon enough you can technically go from Birmingham ALL the way to Carlisle, via route hopping (albeit different timelines but that's okay)

Currently, the existing and upcoming routes are:
    - Penzance - St Austell
    - Plymouth - Exeter
    - Birmingham - Crewe
    - Alderley Edge - Manchester
    - Crewe - Preston
    - Preston - Carlisle
    - Edinburgh - Markinch

We've actually got a surprising number of routes that cross-country can run on, and it would be fun to perhaps have a complete Edinburgh/Aberdeen to Penzance XC route. Now I know you might argue "But Crewe to Carlisle is set in a different time era" which is a fair argument, but there still exists a possible Penzance - Crewe section, which would only need:
    - Extension or redo of the West Cornwall Local to Plymouth
    - Exeter - Bristol Temple Meads
    - Bristol Temple Meads - Birmingham New Street

However, if such routes did exist, it would be annoying to have to route swap at every end point by getting out of the cab, going to that point and swapping routes, so it would also be a cool proposal to make a feature that allows you to route swap within the train so long as its going in the right direction, which I hopefully predict would be a feature in JT's upcoming Preston - Crewe route
