Took a wee drive from Edinburgh to Newton and Neilston, part of the cathcart circle. Just to see what they look like for real. At newton only rail replacement and the odd train on the west coast main line which was cool. I did see my first scotrail 320 which was gid. And of course neilston is tiny, so only 380s. Nice wee station though. Cant wait to drive the update route next week with the 380 and all the other trains.
used to like going throgh newton when i lived up there as you have the good old class 87s and 91s going through when they operated back in the day and was a more frequent service. Then the old style emus when the 303s,318 and 314s all ran down was a good mix of trains back in the day. Neilston was my local station and if you exited the station turned left and walked straight down about 5 minutes you had a good old traditional old fashioned pub. Like you i am looking forward to the upgrade to the GCC it looked fantastic on the stream.
Its a nice wee toon likes. Yeah. I enjoyed the stream. Its busier which is what i prefer, and the visuals look good as well for sure.
