Us Americans and I believe all the Germans and British out there do ride on cars, if not on the side hanging from a ladder. But what I'm pretty much saying is that we should not just be driving the locomotive with switching operations but on the car helping out with uncoupling and such. Also, it would be nice to actually have realistic braking physics, hence the air brake connections, like connecting and disconnecting air hoses.
