The free cam (8 key) and the boom cam (2 key) can obviously be moved about, but their start position is set. Oftentimes my train is going too fast to move the camera to a good position in time (especially on console), and the free cam in particular has the angle of a security cam looking down. It feels like looking down on a model railway and never feels real enough. The default settings are also most likely to smother both these camera views in the trees which isn’t ideal. It would be great if in the settings there was an option to set the cameras start position. 3 sliders: angle from front of loco looking down, angle from front of loco looking from the side, and distance from loco (within reasonable limits) That way I could quickly switch on the free cam and enjoy the feel of the train rushing through the station at a passenger’s height, or set a little distance further ahead to see the engine for a little longer rather than just the train of trucks behind it. Just a little more granular control that will at least definitely help console players.
