Railroad crossings on TSW2 has been discussed from so long.

    But considering the following facts:

    - When you are driving a train, you always see the gates closed.
    - DTG has developed a system that the gates opens them after the train passed away.
Note: I believe we do not see ever an image of the gates closing before the train arrives.
May be I am wrong. But this is not the main point.

    - On European routes, which have not so much space around- in general - from the driver cab point of view you hardly can see the gates going down.
    - On USA way may be, due to general more "open space". But considering the time before needed, I am not sure if you can see them.

So, my suggestion for a real crossing experience from the train driver point of view, it might be to see vehicles crossing the tracks at certain distance, and then stopping to do it.

DTG has not developed yet vehicles crossing the tracks function.
May be this not be easy.
But I believe it will be a more real experience, to see them from the driver point of view, than a closing gate, you can not directly see.

Of course this is just a suggestion.
What do you think about it?

Related to crossings... the situation on some routes, and specially the last 2 ones it is far from OK!

    > UP Sherman Hill: - (The worst route situation about it)
On this route there is no criteria applied!
There are small "gravel" crossing with lights, or lights and gates,... but also "paved" crossings with nothing!

    > German Tharandter Rampe:

    - There are paved crossings without any gates, lights or signs.

    - There are crossings with not moving gates.
For a new route, this might not happens.

The general criteria might be the following:

    - Gravel road crossings: I believe all of them might have just the "Crossing Railroad" X sign.

    - Paved road crossings: Same as above, plus the 2 blinking red lights, and on more important crossings gates must be added.
Of course on main city areas all crossing must have the 3 elements.

    - More important paved roads: Same as above plus the gates.

There are also some "older" routes on which there are some "warning crossing elements" missing.

    Hope this can be fixed

I would like to see them add road traffic where cars can stop at and go at railroad crossings also like them to add on the Railroad Crossings on American routes where the warning lights on the lowering gate turn on when the gates are down. I know they had them in the tsw2020 version of Sand Patch Grade but I like to see them reinstated them in future American route based dlc's since this makes the rr crossings look realistic.

This is a big one for me. As it stands, I honestly couldn’t care less about animated level crossings. If we’d actually get traffic over them though, that would be nice and make me appreciate the work which went into animated level crossings. Having some traffic right in front of you in Blue Anchor on the WSR, for example, would be lovely.
