Guessing this is a mistake? I was intrigued to see the new cost for loco add ons, and was quite surprised to see this (also bundle details are listed too) https://store.steampowered.com/app/2101400/Train_Sim_World_3_Amtraks_Acela/
£44.99 US passenger pack gets you the base game, the Acela, Boston Sprinter Route and the new NEC route. Thats a pretty good price to be fair. Might be a mistake but for someone looking to buy the game its a bargain.
The prices are the same for all TSW 3 routes so far, I wouldn’t expect that to change (I’m surprised they aren’t actually more expensive). I think the Acela is a listing error and should be £14.99, going off the bundle pricing.
Yes, but I’m not talking about that, the Acela DLC alone is listed as £44.99, the same as the bundles, which is obviously an error.
So basically, this is yet another stealth price increase. Normally, you would pay £30.00 for a new route, which would come with a train and stand alone train purchases are £15, already an increase on last year’s prices. However, it appears that you now have to buy the train separately for £15 on top of the route charge in order to play the route. And, yes I know that it includes Boston but I would imagine that most people (or at least those that would be interested in the new route) will already own that as it was bundled with Rush Hour.
I think the confusion is that there is not an actual separate listing price for the Acela itself so the package breakdown is confused.
DTG may set the bundle on Steam such that if you already own Boston Steam auto decreases the price, though that's not guaranteed (they don't activate this for TSC bundles)
I wonder what the pricing will be for the fallen flag pack, last time we saw a DLC of the same nature it was £9.49, so if you want the new US content, it’ll cost you, what I suspect, will be £50ish.
It seems to me that only the bundles are avaliable for pre-order. Not the Acela itself. It says it‘s the Acela, but when you click on it, it links to the bundle only.
DTG JD I don't know if this a mistake but i only see the pack bundle, not standard package by itself, alone, such as the NYC Penn-Trenton, and the Amtrak Acela loco separately. When will this be up cause i really want to purchase it already
In the Uk market atleast it doesnt decrease in price if you own Boston Sprinter. Means the preorder bundle discount for loyal customers remains at the (Likely) same price as if we wait until release before purchasing.
Sorry to rant, glad to see once again loyal customers are getting a bad deal. No discount for me, I'll buy both Acela and NEC (new) but I'm clearly not the valued customer DTG want. I won't even get 1p off yet a new customer gets a massive discount as additional routes which I have already bought are thrown in. Thank you DTG!
How is this calculated? The Acela shloud cost 85,49??? For all people they have the other products you don't paid for ealier things you have purched! 53,99 total and 35.99 for the NJT route + 18 for the Acela is correct but is listed a little strange....
No bundle which contains just NY-Trenton and the Acela, so existing customers get stiffed again relative to brand new customers. Should be a bundle for £39.99 with these two items only.
Guys, maybe this is as fast as the 4090 and thus it justifies a very high price. It comes with something that nVidia has not offered us yet though, a discount. Fantastic value! I hope nVidia is watching. Such a good laugh seeing this one.
Acela and the UP Pack can't be bought seperatedly at the moment. At least, I cannot find any option to do so on Steam. Prices listed by Steam are those of the cheapest bundle which include Acela or the UP Pack. I wouldn't jump to any conclusions just yet. UP Heritage pack is listed as 45 euros, which is more than the 35 euro a full route add-on costs. Can't be right for a bunch of liveries and scenarios.
You’re actually still getting a good deal if you own Boston already and get the bundle. The bundle of all 3 will be cheaper than buying the two new ones individually. Even if you already own Boston. You just aren’t getting as good a deal as someone who doesn’t have Boston.
I just did that in store and the total came out to $57.78 which i don't know if that is correct if you buy them separately for the route and the Amtrak Acela?
I think, at least in the UK, they're both approx £45 (either in the bundle if you already have Boston, or if you buy them separately without a pre-order discount).
Maybe I'm not seeing what you lot are seeing, but there IS no price listed just for the Acela, the listing says "coming 21 Feb 2023" The bundles are just that, bundles and those prices ARE listed, but you're not just getting the Acela... For £44.99 (£49.99 full price) you get two routes, the base game and the Acela add on For £71.99 (£79.99 full price) you get four routes, the base game, the Acela addon and the new livery pack None of that sounds beyond the pail to me
It's an error. See this thread https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...nt-for-train-sim-world-3-february-21st.64825/
No I'm not, I've done the maths, it's 1p more expensive to buy the American Passenger bundle than buying NEC (The new one) and Acela separately, seems mad to me!
