For northbound Acela trains stopping at Metropark, do they really get checked down to 45 mph 6 miles ahead of the station? I'm guessing they don't.

I was kinda hoping this would be resolved with the new timetable.
Unless, of course it's realistic. Then it is what it is.

Only simulator knowledge, but the ATC speed restriction depends on the traffic, you're probably too close to a preceding train so the ATC slows you down.

I'm running a timetable northbound service, just passing Metropark at ACSES speed of 110mph.

Yes, that's what ATC is for.

Spikee1975 yeah but you're bypassing Metropark. I'm talking about the turnout for the platform. You get checked down to 45 6 miles ahead of it. And then you pass a bunch of green signals. It's happened on multiple services. I guess I should've also stated that it's not only the Acela. It's any train that needs to use that turnout for Metropark.

No, I don't think this should not be happening. I'm 90% sure this is a bug with the signaling (DTG can never get signaling right for US stuff), but like most bugs with this route, I wouldn't hold your breath on it being fixed any time soon. :(

So it is an ATC, not a signalling issue then?

I have a feeling it could be due to ASCES. It may be the start of a signal progression as the train ahead of your train is in the process of clearing an occupied block section. The closer your train gets to the next train, each block will be a progression.
