With the release of New York - Trenton came a new version of the ACS-64, but when using it, I noticed the "Doors Open" indicator on the main display stayed permanently on. To figure this out more precisely, I did some testing: Running the old Boston Sprinter ACS-64 on the Boston Sprinter route permanently shows "Doors Closed". The Door Bypass switch and resulting traction lock work as intended, though. Running the old Boston Sprinter ACS-64 on the New York - Trenton route always shows the wrong indicator. It will say "Doors Open" when they're closed, and "Doors Closed" when they're open. The Door Bypass switch and resulting traction lock still work as intended, though. Running the new New York - Trenton ACS-64 on either route permanently shows "Doors Open". The Door Bypass switch is entirely ineffective and does not cause a traction lock. I tested this using the Amtrak Northeast Regional #190 at 10:30 on Boston - Providence, and 98 Miami - NY Penn Station on New York - Trenton.
Yeah you might as well have posted this in an entirely different forum. This has been a thing for almost an entire year, it’s unlikely it’ll ever get corrected.
