I’d love there to be a camera setting where we can view the passenger seats whilst driving a train. Would be cool!
Train Sim Classic has this ability I think. Forgot which key of the upper nums it is exactly. The player just can toggle the camera to get thrown in the passenger perspective and then just click to get back in the cabin. Cool thing is that it saves you the time to go to there on trains which have a connection from the cabin to the wagons but also makes it possible at all for locos which are separated from the wagons. Not so good for visualizing the signals though... But as a defense, the player can also use the free camera 8 key to go somewhere else while driving.
The keybind for TSC is “5” i believe but yeah it would be nice if the same feature from TSC can be implemented into TSW5.
Stuff like the cinematic trackside cameras (4) and pass cam (5) are really missing. DieselRailcarSim has these, just like TSC. It's just great driving the Empire Builder up a grade, switching to the various passenger views whilst still being in control of the train. Adds gameplay (much more important for me than running around a world restricted by Invisible Walls).
It was certainly a feature before - fast free cam was too on console. Both should make a come back IMO. Fast free cam can still be done using a keyboard, but much less easy to use.
I’m about to boot up my old PS4 and see note: I switched to PC not ps5 edit: can’t find the boot disc. Sorry
