I've created another tutorial video on how to add Walk To Markers to your scenario as well as how to set them up within your Objectives Blueprint. Check it out below:
Hi Josh, I have been checking this out but have an issue. In the Objectives blueprint, when I try to search for Objective Action Move To BP, I cannot find it. It only returns Interp to Movement. I see nothing under Custom with Objective Action. Am I missing something here?
There's a issue in the editor with Objective Actions you'll need to create child of the Objective Action BP you want to use and put the child in your plugin and you'll be able to see the child BP.
My walk to markers look like this in the editor and also don't show up in the cooked version of my scenario. They do work however. I'm missing the blue glow of the column. What might be wrong?
If possible one tutorial on how to add static stock to sidings to a route. I don't have any idea about this editor. Atleast basic steps on how to do it.
That's done in the timetable/scenario, not the route itself. Just place a formation somewhere and don't give it any instructions.
Not seen that before where the glow is missing and them not showing in the cooked version. Can you do a video showing your setup and an example?
Did you "Enable scenery edit mode globally" for your Scenario Definition in the Scenario Scenery Tool. A couple of times I forgot to and it added the marker to the route and not my scenario.
I made a child of the blueprint ObjectiveWalktoMarker and moved it to a folder called "Blueprints" in my scenario Plugin folder. After that I just drag the blueprint to the world as Josh does in his tutorial.
If I choose Unlit in the top left menu I do get a blue bloom effect, but everything else now looks dull. Well never mind, at least I now know to adjust the proper height. To be continued...
I didn't create a child of the ObjectiveWalktoMarker. I just used the original one. The only blueprints that I think you need to create a child is the ActionBPs.
Okay, I used the blueprint from the core game now. In the editor everything works fine. When I play the cooked scenario and the intro text is finished, the marker is visible for a split second and then disappears. The instruction however is still valid and the remaining distance is shown in the top left instruction box. When I walk to the marker it also completes the action. So in conclusion: everything works, except for the the fact the marker itself vanishes in a split sec after being created. Weird...
Boy oh boy, do I feel stupid. I had the objective markers indeed turned off in the game Thanks for the tip CFTFC
Glad you have everything working. Don't worry I did the same thing when I was creating my scenarios using Josh's great tutorial.
