I was silly, I tried to add a formation to itself... The game allows it but then crashes and you can't boot it up. I deleted the UGCFormations_0.sav and did a verify before it worked again. Don't be me. Don't do stuff that silly.
Was this you adding a full formation (including a loco) to itself or was it just a run of wagons of coaches which you were using as a 'base' to help create a much longer formation? By the way doing "silly stuff" is what makes life great......perhaps shorter but still great
I would take this as: Make formation A, containing 5 box cars. Edit Formation A, add Custom formation, find A and add it.... to A. inside A. Boom. Matt
I assumed it was that so stayed well clear. TBH it's not too bad making a UK consist 1 vehicle at a time......not so sure about US though Oh hang on. You've said "A inside A" = Boom. (I think that makes sense to me from a system viewpoint). Does A plus A work though? (I haven't tried that one yet as I chose to do everything one vehicle at a time).
Nothing to stop you making formation A with 5 box cars. Then making formation *B* and adding a ton of A's to it, that works. Matt.
